With Lopez I can understand need, even though you go BPA and could rationalize a 19 year old center getting better.

somehow that worthless Derrick Rose falls to the Wolves.
Oh, man. I would be so pissed off.
I want nothing to do with that loser--he's a bust for sure.

Nothing could possibly happen tonight to make me stop watching Timberwolves basketball.

80% isn't good enough for you? Shooting free throws is the one good thing Brewer does on offense.

I'm not going to stop watching the squad because I've been with this sucker since Pooh (so I'm used to a bit of crap), but if it comes out that they didn't pull the trigger on a Miami trade because they didn't want to get rid of Brewer and/or Foye, that immediately moves up into the top-3 worst decisions in team history.

you must have a very low opinion of Randy Foye. I'm gonna tell him you said that. In fact Randy is probably going to read this. Mt Prospect Ave Represent!!!

He very well could, but why pay full price when you can get a BOGO deal?

It's not so much of a low opinion of Foye rather than a high one of Beasley. 6'4" guards who can shoot and dribble are available in each and every draft. Guys like Beasley...not so much.Devilzsidewalk wrote:stop-n-pop wrote:I'm not going to stop watching the squad because I've been with this sucker since Pooh (so I'm used to a bit of crap), but if it comes out that they didn't pull the trigger on a Miami trade because they didn't want to get rid of Brewer and/or Foye, that immediately moves up into the top-3 worst decisions in team history.

Way to underrate Foye. Foye has more tools and talent then you are giving him credit sir.
I will not stop watching, but Bayless or Gordon would make me upset. So would a trade down for a douche like Ammo.

I'm actually starting to warm up to Gordon, but ONLY if it was as part of a deal where we traded down and got Bogut or Kaman. No interest in Bayless.
I really don't see any reason that we would look at Ammo, we have Jaric (who we can't move), Brewer (who we just drafted), and Gomes (who is a stud) that can all play SF which is Ammo's only position.

I wouldn't mind trading to #9 if Lopez was there but that's mainly because I like Lopez. I do think Morrison still has some value though.

You mean 6'7 PF's that can have their way bullying in the paint? Didnt we grab one of those in the 2nd round a couple years ago?
I know, I know
But if we draft Love without making a Kaman/7, Bogut/8, or 5/6 for 3 deal.
If McHale's boner for Hawes last year makes him want to draft Lopez.
If our new jerseys suck
If we buy-out Walker
If we sell McCants for pennies on the dollar
If we somehow dont get back into the late 1st round.
I actually wouldnt stop watching Wolves basketball if any of this happened. I'll use that threat as if the team actually hears me or cares, but im not literally going to give up on them because they may see something that I dont. Its so easy for us to make this kind of decision on a forum. If we're wrong, hey so what? someone will rub your nose in it and call it a day. If a professional sports team gets it wrong, there are many more repercussions to it. People lose their jobs over this kind of thing, we dont even get banned for making a bad judgment call.

The guy had the best season in college ball in the past 20 years. That may be one of the silliest comparisons I've seen in this entire draft run up.4ho5ive wrote:stop-n-pop wrote:It's not so much of a low opinion of Foye rather than a high one of Beasley. 6'4" guards who can shoot and dribble are available in each and every draft. Hey, I've said on numerous occasions that I think Foye can give you upwards of 90% of what Mayo can. He's grown on me. That being said, guys like Beasley do not grow on trees and no one on the Wolves outside of Jefferson should get in the way of moving up 1 spot to get the guy.revprodeji wrote:Way to underrate Foye.
