#3 and #34 (or #31) for #8, #10, #21 ?

They plan on swapping picks with the Griz according to wiretap... But this Clips trade gives them A LOT of space in the Heat talks... they have ZERO reason to trade Brand to move up 2 spots in the draft while getting Marion. They might be hoping we take Love and Mayo falls to them.

No picks are involved. SI.com is reporting Yi and Simmons for Jefferson, no mention of a pick swap.

Bucher said the SEA/LAC is on hold as Seattle wants to wait and see if we take Mayo or not.

If the guy they really want is Lopez, the Sonics would be fools not to do the deal with the Clips. There's no other team between 4 and 7 that is even remotely interested in Lopez. (Despite reports to the contrary, the Knicks would never consider taking Lopez. They want Gallinari or a 1 or 2 who could make D'antoni's helter skelter offense motor.

Thanks for clearing it up 4ho5ive.

Interesting twists in those we were looking to trade back to potentially. Will be interesting to hear what our insiders are saying now.

Well a sure positive about getting and keeping Beasley is that we will definitely get a lot more national spotlight.

Maybe they were trying to jump the knicks so they can take Westbrook, who knows... He did play in LA too.

No problem at all, just reporting what im reading/being told. I think SEA is falling back to take Westbrook also, as #4 is kinda high to take him even though he is shooting up the mocks lately.

I think they take whoever falls. And I'm happy with that.

I dont want to do Miami any favors. let them reach and pick the guy they want or pick the guy they dont and trade down for a lesser player. We win either way.

Nope because NJ didnt get the #8 in this deal, the Bucks still have it. But here's what I'm thinking....the Bucks got RJ to use in a trade for #3:

Walker and 3 for Jefferson and 8????

Maybe??

Chad Ford just posted this on ESPN.com (highlight is mine):

Updated: June 26 -- 3:31 p.m. ET

Two big deals have just gone down in the past few minutes that could change the face of the draft.

The Clippers and Sonics have agreed to swap picks as long as the Wolves take O.J. Mayo at No. 3. If Mayo isn't drafted at 3, the deal is off according to two sources close to the information.

With the No. 4 pick, expect the Clippers to take Eric Gordon of Indiana. They've coveted him as the type of dominant scorer that they've been looking for.

The Sonics will take Brook Lopez or Jerryd Bayless at No. 7. However it seems like Lopez will be the guy.
-----------------------

So no deal unless Mayo is off the board at #3... what Ford seems to be missing here is that he may be gone by #2. Interesting stuff.

Walker's salary isn't high enough to make that happen. They would have to take Madsen or Buckner in the deal also.
