I really get glimpses of Sabonis in this kid's game, when I watch his highlights. Not the younger Sabas, who was an athletic freak in his own right, but late Zalgiris - early Portland Sabas, when he lost some of that athletism, but developed a nasty jumper and honed his passing skills. If Love will be even a half of a player Sabonis was in his prime, forget Mayo, Rose, Beasly, whoever, he'll own the league.

Thanks. I did it too, thats why I feel ya. All night I am giddy for Mayo. Very giddy. Then I get a voicemail about the trade breaking. I felt like crap for about 40min until I did some research.

"Love, exciting and new. Climb aboard, we're expecting you..."

I'm feeling better about Love the more video I see of him. I still would like to get a big, defensive center for this team along the lines of Diop. A 3-man rotation up front with Al-Love-Diop could be killer.

Differing opinions are totally valid and provokes some very cool discussion (just check out the board activity over the last day...)

I agree with Rev though that there are some worthless comments floating around. Not differences of opinion, but things like:

I guarantee Love will suck.
I hope Al and Foye leave so they can at least play for a decent team

That kind of crap. As an actual Timberwolves fan (since day 1. I was at the tip off and the first game), I have no patience for that kind of garbage. This board has always been relatively clear of that--unlike the Star Trib boards, which are absolutely full of it.

If you now hate this team. Try the Star Trib site. Or root for someone else. I guarantee we won't miss you.

Everyone else? Loveyoumeanit. Even when we disagree.
