Hoiberg was a part of the Memphis deal. Why would he be upset?

idk, kind of a slap in the face that they sent him to the crowd at the draft party to say "we're keeping Mayo, don't worry." and then they trade Mayo less than 2 hours later.

At the time he went to the draft party the memphis talks were dead. They did not want to give up Miller. The talks did not begin until mid way thru the 2nd round.

He was talking about how they had trade talks with Memphis before the trade but things didn't work out so they decided to take Mayo. He said nobody was as high on Mayo as him because of his relationship with the old coach. He said that after they picked Mayo Memphis called later and they worked out the trade and the only reason they did it is because even though Mayo is the best player they felt like they got 3 players for the price of one and it was going to fill more holes for them right now rather than later.

Collins would be a good backup center, miller would give them great shooting and rebounding, and Love will be a great big to work along side AL...it was a great interview..
