The Wolves' great salary makeover.

I was just thinking about all the moves the Wolves have made since commencing the rebuild. It's actually quite impressive.
If we factor in all the trades (after the rebuild was started) that led up to last night's trade it's pretty interesting.

Essentially, the Wolves traded:

Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Trenton Hassell, Marko Jaric and Oj Mayo

for

Kevin Love, Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, Jason Collins and a first round pick.

It can be argued that Mayo was the only valuable asset that the Wolves gave up in order to get out of all those HORRIBLE contracts. Yet, Mayo still has not played one NBA minute.

I'm not saying the Wolves made the best deals possible, but that's a pretty quick and impressive turn around for a franchise that was in a pretty dire financial state. Not only that, but the culture of the locker room has changed significantly for the better.

Of course, the jury is still out on whether the Love experiment will pan out, and I'm not saying this is the best way to look at the Wolves current state of affairs, but I do think it's pretty interesting.
