It should also be mentioned that we have numerous draft picks btwn now and the 2010 free agency. I dont see McCants being here long term and I see us drafting someone to replace him within the next 2 years, so instead of being forced to resign him at 5-6 mil, we will likely just have a rookie contract in his place. My hopes are to keep Miller/Foye, draft a young 2G, have Al/Love and shoot for the stars in that FA pool.

Agreed. Next year's draft should have guys like Tyreke Evans, Demar Derozan, Nick Calathes, and Stephen Curry. It's guard heavy and they should be able to maneuver to a spot where they can get a functional 2 that would allow them to continue to keep a slotted rookie contract at that roster position. As long as they keep roster spots like McCants' and Foye's on a slotted level until 2010, they should be able to work this thing.
