And? You wouldn't want a player of Anthony's caliber on the Wolves?

Again, Mayo made a big stink about not wanting to go to a small market team...so... Love + Miller >>> Mayo + potential chemistry issues (with mccants & foye) + marburyesque situation.

I'm definitely taking a wait and see approach to this whole Mayo vs. Love thing because, to be honest, I was TICKED OFF when they dealt him. But I've grown to realize you just gotta let this thing play out cause there's a lot to love about Love's game, so I just have to embrace those positives cause he's a Wolf now and there's nothing I can do about it. So I look forward to the year, and hope that I'm wrong lol

Warriors fan here...Mayo is severly overratted...Kobe's the next Isiah when it comes to player evalueation..I wouldnt of taken Mayo top10...In two years people should worship this post as the gospel according to Calamari...I'm dead on..I know it...

Draft should of gone..

1. Randolph
2. Love
3. Rose
4. Beasley
5. Bayless
6. Speights

Who am I to argue with a cephalopod?

I do want to make a couple points on this subject.
1. Saying someone has the whole package doesn't mean that person will utilize the package to his fullest. Melo has the package too but that doesn't mean he has used his talents to make his team better.
2. Saying Mayo has the whole package doesn't mean that Love doesn't have the whole package too. If Tim Duncan comes out and says "Kevin Love has the whole package: scoring, rebounding, passing" does that invalidate what Kobe said about Mayo? Does that say anything about Mayo? No.
3. Mayo plays for the Grizzlies so who cares.

Can't we just get over the fact that Mayo is not on our team?

just because a player thinks another play is that great it doesn't mean he is that good. Mark Jackson said that Kobe is as good as Jordan. is that true? hell no.

let's wait and see what happens

I don't know, I think McHale needs to be held accountable for the results of the trade. If Love turns out to be better than Mayo, he deserves credit. If Mayo turns out to be a superstar and Love turns out to be average, then he needs to take the heat. I think it's something we should be watching.

you must think about the cap space you freed up as well. it seems as though wolves have the nicest looking salary chart.

that was my whole point in creating this post...because no matter how the trade goes we can miss out....if both suck then its what ever...if love sucks and mayo is great then mchale gets heat....if love is great and mayo sucks then we win....but if we would have kept mayo and he left in 3 years where would we be?...mchale taking heat....

Well, let me just say - Love doesn't have the whole package.

For the wolves, trading a potential great player for two (potentially) good players doesn't make sense. If Love and Miller play as expected their draft pick next year will probably be worse, reducing the chance of getting a game changing player. Of course Mayo may not be a great player, but the wolves don't need more good players, they need a great player. If Mayo wasn't him and they kept him it just means back to the lottery with a better chance at a game changer.

The wolves desperately need to trade Jefferson over the next 12 months...He's totally overrated and with Love here, Al's a now a bad fit too....Trade him while you can.

Yea ok, i think its time you made your exit there Sid. First you say the first pick in the draft should have been Randolph. Over the likes of Beasley/Rose/Love/Mayo. Then you come here call Jefferson overrated and say he is a bad fit.

Kthanksbye.
