A closer look at Jason Collins

Post#1 » by Calinks » Fri Sep 26, 2008 10:59 pm

I saw this video and thought it was interesting. I don't know too much about him as a person or the attitude he will bring to this team.

He is a scrub with slightly above average defense for his position.

That is all you need to know.

You could call Maddog a scrub too but he brings lots of things to the table outside of his basketball skills.

Mad Dog is the worst player in the NBA. There's nothing he could bring to the table that would make up for that.

He doesn't really do anything thats flat out amazing. But he has always seemed to be strangely effective. No stats to speak of, but effective. As a backup Center, he should be a good fit for the young Wolves. And with his stats, the team should be able to keep fairly cheap....based on the idea that he has a decent season.

He seems like a very good fit for a back-up center. Vet with above avg defensive skills and good locker room personality. Good back up 5.

That second video cracked me up. "Does he score? No. Does he rebound? No. Does he block shots? No. So those are the things he doesn't do." Classic hahahaha
