Like what?
Love playing well. Showing he can Defend. Playing well with Al
Corey Brewer making clutch plays..Hitting a couple jump shots
Mike Miller showing why we traded for him
Bassy with a near double double in his first game back
Al showing he can make plays while being tired (played almost 50 min.)
35 assists to 10 turnovers is also nice

Re: Game Thread: Twolves Vs. Spurs
love should start next game! he and al are killing the spurs when they were on the court. al and gomes combo sucks, cant rebound and cant defend but with love you have the shooting, defense and rebounding. Foye is just in a slump. im sure after this game he'll be right on track.

Foye is a lost cause. We need to find a point guard soon. More we wait more we loose. Package anyone but Love, AL, and Miller for a true point guard.

We do have a point guard, his name is Sebastian Telfair and he had a very solid first game.

I for one, thought Foye had a solid game outside of the two (huge) turnovers. He playded a good game and was made some big shots when we needed them.

Good takes.
I kinda disagree, yes he had his best game as a wolf by far but after his first shot in OT. he wasn't heard from again.

Re: Game Thread: Twolves Vs. Spurs
Foye did have a better game. And Tefair is our PG. Foye hasn't looked that great at the PG spot and it is likely that he may not be starting there for much longer but Telfair can handle it. Telfair has great command of the team. Foye can start playing more 2 with occasional responsibilities if things continue to sour. I think we need Foye's dynamic offense more than we need his floor general skills right now because they don't appear to be that great.

He fouled out on what shouldn't have been called a foul.
[EDIT: who exactly are you talking about?]

I'm saying....Foye at 2, Bassy at 1, love at 4....
Just put those guys in those positions and we won't be as bad as we are..
I wish Brewer could start though, I love his energy, and he hasn't even been playing bad.

Re: Game Thread: Twolves Vs. Spurs
if telfair is your starting PG you're in trouble, period.
this game was a testament of how weak are the spurs not of how good are the wolves.
spurs are done, they were 0-3 to start the season and they needed double-OT to beat the team who lost to friggin' OKC the other night.
for more then a decade the wolves can't figure out their PG and C problems. meanwhile Mario Chalmers started for Heat and had 6 assists and 9 steals.

They're missing Manu. If Popp is still the coach, they're still a lock for the playoffs, and most likely a top 4 seed too.

Telfair had a near double double off the bench. The man hasn't played a full NBA game since May of last season.

Re: Game Thread: Twolves Vs. Spurs
Foye looked better to me. He barely missed out an a double double as well and despite them being huge, he did only have 2 TO's which is not uncommon for a young PG. Letting him and Bassy play together allows us to have two ball handlers out there, Foye looks more comfortable handling the rock at the 2.
Starting Bassy tho? No. Everytime he was in the game our D suffered BIG TIME. He is damn near as fast as Parker but cant stay in front of him so they kept Brew on him and had Bassy playing on Mason, who dicked him pretty serious.
Mario Chalmers will come down to earth soon. Teams dont have much game tape on the kid and most teams are focused on Wade/Beasley/Marion before they worry about this kid. Yea it would have been nice to have him, and he seems to have a calm about him, but lets worry about what we have, not what we could have.
You guys give up WAYYYY to soon on some of these guys. Remember that this is only year 2 of the rebuild.

That's what I'm saying. Bassy although a great floor general will always be to much of a defensive liability, it would be one thing if we had some sort of athletic shot blocker to stop a penetrating guard, but uh we don't have that so.....he's a great backup!
As for Foye still giving him 10 games this season before i judge.

Manu is out till when? Late-December, early-January. That's almost half a season and by the time he gets back Spurs will be out off top-4 seed hunt. They will kill their old legs just trying to clinch the play-offs. San-Antonio dynasty is done.
