Could this draft be like the 2006 draft?

2006 checklist:

Top Euro who could come out - Check(Bargnani)
Top big man - Check(Aldridge)
defensive center - Check(S. Williams)
Combo guard who can score from anywhere - Check(Foye)
Player with poise and can do everything well - Check(Roy)
Explosive forward who has potential to be great and a top 5 pick - Check(Thomas)

2009 Checklist:

Top Euro who could come out - Rubio
Top big man - Griffin
Defensive Center - Thabeet
Combo guard who can score from anywhere - Curry
Player with poise and can do everything well - Harden
Explosive forward who has potential to be great and a top 5 pick - Hill

I wonder who could be compared to Rudy gay in this draft? Rudy has explosiveness, defensive potential, range, slashing ability, passing..

I'm thinking Earl Clark.

This draft actually kind of reminds me of last years draft:

1. Elite Point Guard prospect: Rose/Rubio
2. Elite Post prospect: Beasley/Griffin
3. Great Undersized SG prospect: Mayo/Harden
4. Great Defensive Guard prospect: Westbrook/Holiday
5. Hight BB IQ PF/C prospect: Love/Monroe

etc
etc

Augustin/Teague are a few more similarities.

Augustin is a true pg that is undersized. Teague is a Sg trying to be a pg. (foye)

Difference in Bargnani and Rubio is the level of experience.

It reminds me a lot of the 1998 draft where some teams did bad, balls bounced, and players got picked. And now that I think about it, the 2001 draft was the same way.

More like 2000 to me. Some roll players that can help you out, but over all the giant crapfest.
