*** The Isles really should sign Kovalchuk...

I know the rumors are the Devils, KHL, or the Kings, but the Isles are a good up and coming team. They have really built a nice young core of talented players the last couple of years (Tavares, Bailey, Okposso, Niedderiter, Moulson, Comeau), but in order to take the next step they need to make a 'splash' and add a bonafide sniper like 'Kovalchuk'. This move would show the county how serious they are about improving the team & and help get the new arena they so desperately need. Kovalchuk is a young gun, and though he puts offense ahead of defense more than he should I think it's worth the gamble. His signing would at least bring more excitement to a franchise than hasn't had much to cheer about the last decade.
