Not surprised. Rangers like to be stable at Goalie. That being said he's having a mediocre season by his standards.

To much money, to much length. BUT he is arguably the best goalie in the world, and the face of the franchise. If the cap goes up to 70 mil, then 80 mil, this contract will be all good.

Will be sitting right behind Lundqvist for two periods tomorrow. Got tickets for Rangers v Sabres.

Its not crazy given the quality of the player.
