Nash has been playing great this play offs imo. 4 points, 3A 1G, in a series where we scored 11 goals in total; meaning he scored or assisted 36% of the goals in the series. He's been absolutely phenomenal on the PK all year and is keeping it going in to the playoffs. Just has been super proper positioning wise and hasn't left his team in a bad spot defensively so far this post season because of it. Brassard looks so good, in part, due to teams pinching on Nash so heavily. He's creating really great opportunities off it as well. I've been loving what Nash has been doing so far.

Admittedly he's been a little better than last year but it's not like the Pens are a physical team. I'm more concerned with how he'll respond to a series with Caps or Islanders who play a much more physical game than Pittsburgh. I'm not saying he's soft but last year he got beat up a little bit and didn't perform when we needed him. He's got to continue to produce for us to win it all. I absolutely love Brassard. To me, he's one of those guys that goes up a notch in postseason play. He always seems to pop up when you need him to at either end of the ice. Idk, maybe it's just because we worked so hard all year to rebound from last year's disappointment and we're the favorites to win. I just don't think I could stomach not lifting the cup this year. This team is so easy to root for and so much fun to watch it would just suck if we didn't bring it home.

you obviously havent watched any of their games.

best fans this playoffs. only the jets have had as good playoff support.

they have the caps on the ropes and taking them to a deciding game 7 and doing it without their 3 best defensemen.

thats impressive.

rangers vs islanders would be epic.

Geesh don't say that. They have Ovechkin so anything could happen but it is a series we should win. I'm pissed that one of my favorite players in Matz Zuccarello is out indefinitely and it was one of our own players that hit him with the puck. Zuccarello is all energy all the time but I think we're getting Klein back for the next series.

rangers have played really really well against the caps in the last few years....

12-5-1 record in its last 18 regular season games against washington, dating back to dec. 12, 2010.

rick nash, specifically has played good against the caps as well- 18 gp ,nash has registered 6 goals/points in his last 4 games against washington and he has tallied 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) in his last 14 regular season games against the capitals.

o and btw....no caps til' the third round

Anyone worried about Zuccarello? I am. Hagelin and Zucc are the two way players that helped shut down Crosby and Malkin. They'll NEED them vs Ovechkin and Backstrom.

Getting Klein back is a huge boost.

I don't think Zuccarello has enough size to bother Ovechkin. I met him in the city and he's my height (I'm short). That said, I love his game and he'd be helpful with other players. For Ovechkin, it's gonna take a team effort to stop him. He's so big and skilled that most players can't match him one on one, especially not a Forward.
