Flyers signed him to a huge deal.
In hindsight, was the deal that pays him 5.6m till 2020 a bad signing?

Your thoughts?

Yes.

The Flyers always seems to opt for the cheaper alternative in net and I have no idea why;
Vanbiesbrouck over Joseph and then the band-aid solutions like Snow, Wregget, Hackett, Biron, Cechmanek, Boucher, etc etc

Since Hextall its been all ground beef over steak.
The Flyers have poured millions into their positional guys but when they finally open their wallet on a goalie they opt for is solid but hardly elite and get him on a reasonable deal (compared to Lu or Miller etc) but that million + in savings results in a early trip home.

The question really becomes how can they get better around that terrible contract?

Bryz was an awful signing. Thank God for amnesty provisions.
