Welcome to RealGM's Philadelphia Flyers message boards. You've come here at an exciting time as RealGM - rated among the top 50 message boards on the internet (in terms of traffic) launches boards for hockey fans.

This board will only be as good as our ability to:

-- Recruit friends, family, strangers...whoever to join us here.
-- Demonstrate your outstanding knowledge of the game, the team, the league...even off topic subjects.

The more Flyers message boards the better. Let me kick things off by saying I'm looking forward to the Flyers offseason as I hope we are able to draft Patrick Kane and sign one of Briere, Drury, or Forsberg. I'd also like to add Kimmo Timonen to anchor our blueline.

Just wanted to join timd1218 in welcoming you.

Small comment, only partially related to your post.

-- Where the heck are all of the big, physical, effective defensemen? They've gone the way of the dinosaur. Yeah, the game's changing...but still.

If I were a parent of a decently sized son getting into junior hockey. And he had the mentality and tools to be a good defenseman, I'd steer him in that direction. All the better come draft time for him.

LETS GO FLYERS!
This team is going to be dangerous in a couple of years.
Ive always been a flyers fan and im not going to jump ships now just because they are in last place.
This team is in a rebuilding mode and the future is very bright.
We will most likely have the number one draft pick, we have money to spend, we have FINALLY a goalie , we have good prospects and the list goes on. We can only go up from here.
Lets get rid of our slow big defense men though. Hatcher isnt meant for the new nhl.
anyways now that theres a hockey forum ill be dropping by here consistently.
