Hannu Toivonen has agreed to a one-year contract with the Blues.
Toivonen was a member of the Blues in 2007-08, but bolted for the Finnish Elite League last season. He posted a 19-23-9 record, with a 2.68 GAA and a .910 save percentage with Ilves Tampere in 2008-09. His signing is somewhat surprising considering he left to get more ice time overseas, but appears to have returned to a crowded crease again in St. Louis. Chris Mason is expected to be the team's number one goalie with the recently signed Ty Conklin as his backup.
