Sore right foot for Brook. Seeing absolutely no lift before he left the game, the weight of the rest of the season can crush a Nets fan's spirit.

I pray Brook is ok and hope he pads his stats so we can get the most assets for him. We just can´t trust brook foot anymore , if he´s out then Idk if we will ever win a game

I want to think it's common soreness due to the minute usage between last night and tonight but I should know better by now.

There's no insurance clause on Brook's foot, is there?

Is there? I've been trying to find articles from July, but nothing. I was already thinking King overlooked it.

EDIT: Never mind. Found it.
Lopez, 27, will receive a three-year, $60 million maximum contract that includes some protections for the Nets should a recurrence of Lopez’s foot issues sideline him again, sources said.

I remember the last time the Nets said Brook was fine after a foot problem with a day-to-day recovery timeline.

I doubt the worry and nervousness will go away until I see him active in the starting lineup by Wednesday.

He wont play for at least another week. Nets will not take chances with that foot. So now Bargnani or Trob will start either way its a HUGE dropoff. Prepare 0-12 or worse. Nets may not get to double digit wins this year. Worst team in NBA easily.

LOL. So were going to be a bottom 5 team in the NBA and compete for the #1 pick. This is a nightmare. Worst season in Nets history.

Like I've said before. It's one thing to lose due to lack of talent but It's hard to watch losing without any incentive and I'm not talking about the lottery situation either. Hollins is making it abundantly clear has no clue what player development is.

If RHJ can put up 2 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals in 23 minutes in his second career start. Then why can't he simply get 28-30 minutes of floor time consistently? His minutes should not come at the expense of Markel Brown either.

Last time I checked, Markel is shooting the same exact percentages as Joe Johnson. The difference is one can improve with consistent minutes and the other is old and broken down. Giving a 34 Year Old with a historic amount of mileage a combined total of 73 minutes in back to back games goes to show how absolutely backwards minded Hollins is when it comes to today's game. Still stubborn and stuck in the past.

That article also shows Brook having a player option which when the dust settled he ended up not with. Everything I have seen looked like his deal is a straight deal versus something with games or minutes played incentives, although it is possible some of that is in it.

But in terms of the NBA's regular insurance program, I would be shocked if the foot was covered as everything I have seen says that previous injuries like that are excluded, even if the insurance company doesn't exclude the entire contract (which Brook's would have been a good one to consider).
