Here we go again:

The minute this season is over, according to what I am hearing from his camp, you can expect Dwight Howard to tell Orlando, "Get me out of here. I don't want to be here any longer." ... When he had his back surgery, they [the organization] were talking about giving him a flight on AirTran or something like that. ... He feels as a superstar, he's been treated as a scrub.

This might be a couple days old, I just saw this on a thread on the GB though and haven't really been following it lately.

As I wrote on the GB, Howard will change his mind several times over the next couple of months.

I don't know. After Howard opted in, one would think the Magic couldn't screw up the situation and instead they just made things worse. Not only did they not do a single thing to make him want to stay, less than a month later, management failed to cover Dwight during the SVG incident and started blaming him during his injury. They just made matters worse. Enough is enough.

IMO Dwight situation not yet over.

Dwights gone for sure now.

I think he thought after opting in he would be greeted like a king by everyone from owners, players, staff & fans. Instead he's basically been hung out to dry & the funny thing is the magic still are in total control of him this off season.

The only two ways we can sign him is really either getting a top 3 pick to add to a trade package or the real option, Howard has to demand a trade to the Nets. He just has to man up now, he knows he made the wrong call in March so he has a chance to chance that in the off season.

I think from Monday onwards our PR department & brand has to be pushing Brooklyn 24/7. I mean full on everywhere to make the build up to the draft/offseason feel like something special is happening in Brooklyn.

The uni's, logo & colours need to be big deals with massive press conferences to showcase the team.

We need a big name with D Will & Howard needs to demand a trade

Keep in mind SAS was also the one who claimed Howard was for sure going to be traded before the deadline and seemed personally offended and downright angry when Howard opted in.

Keep in mind he was 100% right until Dwight 11th hour flip flopped due to a number of factors including Orlando's Bush League front office threatening to trade him to the Lakers if didn't opt in.

Keep in mind he was the guy that nailed the Lebron to Miami scoop a day and a half before the Decision and about a full day before the rumor went mainstream with the rest of the sports media.

SAS can be an annoying tool, that doesn't mean his credibility should constantly be questioned or scrutinized to a much higher degree then other increasingly less legit sports media.

Yeah I don't think anyone can fault any "sources" with the whole Dwight scenario, since he was apparently changing his mind by the hour

Isn't that the point exactly? claiming he knows anything at all about the Howard situation when Howard himself probably has no clue himself makes pretty much anything he says completely meaningless.

Keep in mind Jarrod Rudolph, who obviously is a legitimate source for the Dwight rumors by now, also said he doesn't see Dwight Howard returning for next year.

Sure, but that's an opinion, not a report on something coming from Howard's camp like SAS claims to have.

Yeah, but this is different.

Recently, Rudolph has been separating himself from the likes of Ping and he's actually getting stuff right about Dwight.

He went completely against Ping's report about Howard dogging it. He knew many hours before almost everyone else that Dwight needed surgery.

The day of the surgery he also seemed to imply that Dwight was very upset with the organization and when asked a question about whether Dwight and SVG would be back, he said 65% chance both were gone and 35% both stay.

He's going to stay tight lipped about everything until he knows, but there is no disputing the fact that he seems to be getting better, at least in regards to facts about D12.

Also, 99 out of 100 times with all other players, they would've been traded but D12 either didn't want to go to LA or wanted to stay in Orlando or a combination of both, when the Magic threatened to do so.

This isn't like before. He already opted-in and management is acting like they don't care about him.

After spending so much time trying to woo him, why would you not make sure that you have his back barely a month after he opts-in.

Any sort of positive feelings he had about opting-in with the franchise must have been wiped out since they 1) told SVG about their conversation 2) didn't come to his aide when he insists that he didn't tell management he wanted SVG fired 3) questioning the extent of injury.

He forgave the FO once by contractually allowing himself to be in Orlando for the next year but nothing has been done to make him feel like that was a smart move.

Why are you guys doing this to yourselfs??? Even if Dwight wants out again...the Nets can't offer anything now...all your players are free agents. Nets are out of it. Face it!

so...what is the plan?
maybe i am just emotionally burnt out from all this dwight drama but i dont want dwight if deron is not here.

is anybody else very worried about deron leaving and dwight coming in?
dont get me wrong, i would love to see him here but at this point nobody is a lock to stick around next year. and if we do end up sending away whatever assets we have left for him...what's the point?

is a dwight only team really a better option then just picking up the pieces from this year?

I am worried about deron leaving and dwight coming, but if deron does leave (Don't think he will) there is no reason to give up green , wallace , and a few other guys for dwight. It would end up just making us even worse overall.
