Markel Brown is going to be a very good player.

He fills just about all of the teams needs.

He can finish extremely well in transition.

He can defend his position.

He can hit the 3 in our half court sets.

Very excited by him.

I was thinking the samething. Brown's motor and athleticism is crazy and his on ball defense is very impressive. I didn't expect him to be that notcable on that end.

Plumlee looks like a god out there. What a fcking steal.

Maybe we can start him at PF next to Lopez. He is making defensive plays out on the perimeter. Even though he cant shoot, he helps space the floor in PnR by setting picks and rolling to the front of the rim.

Have Lopez play from the perimeter early in the game to keep the lane open for JJ's mid post up game and let DWill run PnR with Plumlee. Sub Lopez out early in the 1st and then bring him back in to start the 2nd quarter and run the offense through the post.

Someone as athlethic as he is has tons of defensive potential. Lionel Hollins can mold him much in the same way he did Tony Allen. Ive been comparing Brown to Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe was overshadowed by John Wall at Kentucky. Brown played next to Marcus Smart and dealt with the same thing. OKST fans say Brown was the most consistent player on the team and that he played really well when Smart was suspended.

I think we could have another Plumlee type of return out of Brown. He definitely has the potential and the opportunity to showcase himself on this team.

Plumlee showing off new post moves. He even looks more athletic than last season.

Jefferson is a pretty good rebounder. He needs to bulk up, though.

Not really a Summer League observation, but if Plumlee can hit an open jumpshot (and he'll get plenty of opportunities) consistently and hit 75% from the free throw line...

I think they are going to stash him in Europe to work on his game. Same thing with Thames.

I think Greene might get a chance in camp to make the team. He isnt playing well today but he has a lot of Blatche in his game. Plus he looks like a legit 7 footer.

I know it's Summer League, but it's still surprising to see Teague doing anything correctly.

Ivan Johnson didn't make the team?

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have a summer league game start at 9am?

Gutierrez would be the perfect third stringer. TOo bad we;ve wasted that spot on Teague. :(

He really doesnt have to. If he gets any momentum moving towards the rim he is going to either score or get fouled.

In today's PnR heavy NBA, that is an invaluable skill. I think he might be the starting PF. I thought it was weird that the Nets havent been targeting any PFs with all of these offseason rumors going around. Maybe this is why. This is the 1st we are seeing this new and improved Plumlee but the Nets have been around him the whole offseason.

The Nets should just cut him to gain a roster spot. He looks like trash out there.

Markel has looked good so far but the most glaring weakness is his ball handling.

Damnm why did they play so early?

So I take it that our starting center Plumlee looked like a god? Great to hear.

F3LON, I have floated the idea of Plumlee starting at the 4 but we'd have to see how he would fair against legit 4 and stretch 4s. I am not sold as of yet but I'm not against the idea. He does things that Brook doesn't.

Was Hollins at the game?

id prefer he not even take jumpers.... but 100% agree on the free throws. if he can get those up it will be a major help since all his attempts come at the rim and teams are gonna make him earn it at the stripe instead of giving him a dunk.

I love his potential. crazy i went from hating the pick to being like his biggest fan. really proved me wrong. I dont see him being able to play PF... i hope something happens with KG retiring or becoming a 10 mpg player or lopez being moved or something. plumlee needs to be playing 25-30 mpg. Plumlee will be here in 2017 and beyond. brook wont. plumlee needs the burn
