Around the NBA, 2014-15 Season Thread

Post#1 » by NyCeEvO » Wed Oct 29, 2014 5:02 am

It's Opening Night and we're not playing.

While the HOU-LAL game isn't over, I think it's safe to say that the performance of the night award goes to Anthony Davis, who had 26pts/17reb/9blk/3stl.

He was a beast!

Damn it, Randle fractured his right tibia. That is truly terrible.

Lakers are awful and do not deserve to have 27 nationally televised games. Nobody wants to see the Cavaliers curb stomp them. I'd rather watch more games like the Spurs-Mavs that happened right before. That was a great game.

Barring injuries, I don't think my bold pick for the Mavs to make the WCF (and probably the Finals) is all that bold any more. That roster is stacked.

It feels dirty rooting for the knicks, but a cavs loss here would be pretty funny.

Clickbait.

It's completely unsubstantiated and is just based upon speculation.

Westbrook out with a fractured hand. We will be playing a depleted Thunder team for our home opener and will still manage to find a way to lose

I'd trade for Bryant if that means we get a clean cap in 2016.

This team lacks leadership in the worst way.

With Westbrook getting injured there has to be a trade out there where we can dump DWill, Lopez or JJ.

I cant see OKC not making a move. They dont want to fall into a low seeding where they will have to play SA or LAC or Hou.

They have a number of young guys I think can be good: Perry Jones III, Jeremy Lamb, Reggie Jackson

And expiring veterans: Perkins and Collison

There is a deal there, BK needs to look into it.

OKC rarely makes moves. They made 2 moves that were due to finances (Harden/Perkins)

It's also rare to have 2 superstars on one team.

Even more rare to have those 2 superstars out for significant time.

Kendrick Perkins is expendable on their end. Perkins and KG have a relationship and we could use a true big body like him.

You put Collison and Jeremy Lamb together with Perkins and I could see DWill getting sent to OKC

DWill and Westbrook could co-exist. Id actually say that they would play well together.

OKC isnt that far from Dallas, DWill's hometown, so I think it would make sense for both teams

OKC gets this myth of being the best scouters/gms or whatever, they hit on three homeruns due to drafting early with Durant, Westbrook n Harden with a triple in Ibaka and have been so so since....

Ever since they lost Harden they lost that feel, IMO, to win it all since he provided the scoring and impact off the bench. OKC has done little to aid or fill in that vacancy IMO.

Anyways, I'm not sure i'd want anything outside of the dynamic duo from OKC. Lamb would be cool but he's not a 1 in a million type player.

If its something around Ibaka, then we can talk.

They would be doing us the favor of taking on DWill's contract. We arent getting anything great back but Perkins and Collison are both expiring contracts and I liked Lamb a lot when he came out. He has a lot of upside and is still on a rookie contract.
