is being better then a benchwarmer who didnt play and is in and out of the dleague really a player you would call "special"
I am not the one that called him special. I am saying Boatright IMO will be Nets third string PG like Morris was last year. The only difference is Boatright will get more PT because not only does he play defense he is also a better shooter which this team lacks.
When Boatright goes for a 3pt shot I wont cringe like I would do with Jack and Morris.
yeah i agree with you. like i said if he can become our version of phil pressey or even a rich mans pressey id be pretty happy about that and i think he certainly can be that guy for us.
i took exception with people calling him a special player or someone whois goign to come in here and change the dynamic at PG
perhaps rich mans, because PP hasn't made 5 threes in a game his entire career (same for tyshawn taylor). i'm talking back to freaking hs. Boatrights floor game is much more effective; his first step is equal and he is a gazillion times the shooter (pullups, catch n shoot, free throws, the gambit). Pressey struggled to score at the college level, and still cant. (maybe you were talking about his role as 3rd pg on the nets, if so youre probably right as i'm not aware of the roster construction really. he can compete with guys like jack or larkin, and even take minutes)
The one thing boatright is not good at is being a consummate pg, he will press his games at times. very very similar to thomas on boston. They both get off the floor ridiculously high on jumpers and have slick handles exploding off picknrolls.
