MDB called it.

Williams was a puzzle no one was able to solve. Paul Pierce tried, his efforts evolving from private dinners spent boosting Williams’s confidence to public pastings in practice, according to league sources. Lionel Hollins attempted to get through to Williams; an NBA source confirmed a New York Daily News report that one such session resulted in Williams needing to be physically restrained from going after Hollins. To be fair, Hollins didn’t cover himself with glory, as his pep talk consisted of bluntly laying out all the reasons Williams had tumbled from the top of the point guard crop, according to sources familiar with the confrontation. The thin-skinned Williams couldn’t handle it.

I knew it. Hollins never minces words. What he said was for that coward's own good and he couldn't stand hearing the truth about himself. He is a weak player, and a weak human being.

GOOD RIDDANCE.

So there is nothing left to say here. You won't answer a straight question, reject any fair point and you are excited about last season and look forward to signing up for the same target win total.

We disagree because we have different goals.

I would rather suck if it can help us later. You would rather suck a bit less and no for sure it can't help us later and you resolve that with idea that it's not possible to help us later so why bother?

I got it. 40 wins or bust is what you are locked in for. Enjoy. We can stop debating if that's all there is here.

I honestly have no idea what your goal is for this team. That's what I'm trying to figure out!

we gave you like a numbered list of what the plan would be, including backup and contingency plans. If you cant follow that then it is probably a lost cause and you want see our side of things.

What are the goals?

-create the most amount of cap space next season, to gain the flexibility to offer multiple players a max contract.
-sign players (Much?)better then thad young.
-improve the team next season one way or another with the cap space (FA or trades).

what are your goals? what players do you want to sign next year to build around thad young? you keep knocking us for not giving you exact players we will get? who do you have us getting next year with thad already here?

The goals? Compete! We joke about Ryan Anderson getting $20 million, but realistically he might since so many are RFA. You really want to tank away a season when one of the top realistic free agents is Anderson? In my eyes, that's not even realistic cause why would he come here besides his friendship with Lopez. So that moves to another year of tanking and no picks. Real smart plan on that chance Durant would sign here.

It's OK to be stubborn, but can you not admit there is probably a good chance we don't get any big name free agent?

Weak human being? I don't think we know his personal life well enough to say that.

Happy for you, Brooklyn, that he's out. Sad he had to be bought out. The guy is trash.

With Deron Williams on the court, the #Nets offense operated at a near top-10 efficiency level. With him off the court, they dropped to 28th

deron is trash and every net fan is thrilled he is gone. he was a massive disappointment here and the #1 reason we have underachieved. he will go down as one of the most hated nets ever. i will boo him every time he touches when he comes to barclays

Chris Searn says he sensed animosity in the locker room towards Deron Williams. Ian Eagle also confirms it.

Utlimately, they felt they have to reshuffle the deck so they would have some financial flexibility moving forward AND analyze the whole attitude of the team and at the forefront of that attitude was Deron Williams.

They clearly believed they needed to go in a different direction, what their identity is, what they'all about, and  if you're trying to build a cohensive unit as we saw with the Golden State Warriors, you need talent, but you also need chemistry and chemistry par was certainly falling short of the mark

While you're cherry picking stats, take a look at his declining production and his horrific shooting %'s and then get back to us.

Oh, and the fact that his teammates hated him.

Or the fact that he tried to physically assault the head coach.
