I am not even mad at this signing.

His defense sucks but he can score. Nets need scoring especially a stretch 4/5 now that we lost MT3.

Trob / Bargnani combo works.

I mean I noticed chemistry with Larkin. I guess he can be alright if we don't give him top many minutes. I think he's best utilized if he's taking threes while T-Rob and RHJ make cuts to the rim. Larkin there with speed and Ellignton taking threes and midrange jumpers.

Just playing against him 4 times a year made me didn't want him, even for the minimum.

I mean he did shoot 45/36/81 last year and for the Vets min...I don't know. I guess Billy decided to take a risk

This is for the minimum, so I don't have an issue with this honestly although I am not a fan. BUT, he can provide some shooting. So low risk, high reward.

Bigs:

Brook/Bargnani/Reed
Thad/Robinson/McCollough

on the outside looking in is CJ and Alexander. I am wary about letting Alexander walk.

Wings:

Joe/RHJ/Bojan/Markel/Karasev/Ellington

Karasev or Markel? Markel could be in danger of getting cut but I doubt it. Karasev is a waste of a roster spot.

PGs:
Jack/Larkin/Either Blake or Boatright.

Who do you cut from this picture?

Everyone complained about lack of floor spacing. He was the last remaining option. Beggars can't be choosers. I hope we can still keep Alexander.

Getting Bargnani for the minimum instead of paying Teletovic roughly 5 M is not that bad.

Unfortunately, I could see them cutting Cory Jefferson and/or not signing Cliff Alexander now because of the lack of roster spots which is a move I would not endorse.
What is going on with Chris McCullough? I have read more than once that the Nets see him as their 2016 first round pick and that he could possibly sit out the whole season. Normally, the player still signs his contract tough which would require a roster spot.

Shooting primarily. I see the sense behind the move because the guy can hit a decent % of his attempts, but again, I am not a fan of this guy and Hollins will probably cuss him off the floor at times, but he easily replaces what Mirza gave us as a stretch big.

When you put it that way, Bargs is a bargain. But still, gross. His reputation precedes him.

I don't think we'll see Mcc this year at all. No reason to with what we have now. Let him rehab and work his tail off to recover and play Dleague. Maybe I'll be more excited about him in 2016.

On games he's actually expected to play. He's missed so many games the last 2 seasons alone.

Nets Sign Andrea Bargnani - Minimum/2 Years w/ Player's Option

I guess Bargnani and Robinson will be an ok combo off the bench for Thad and Lopez. Their games would seem to compliment each other.

Then I guess Reed and Jefferson will get those extra relief/garbage minutes?

All I can think about is that video of Bargnani going up for a layup and completely falling on his ass, while "I believe I can fly" plays in the background.

Career loser.

How does he fit into the culture we're trying to build with young, high energy players that everyone's been preaching?

I am holding my breath on this one. I've always disliked him from afar, he seemed more like a joke of a player to me. I mean he can shoot, and we'll need to hide his defense alongside TRob... but this is a wait and see signing.

Can't be too mad with a Vet min deal too

Karasev's roster spot has now become a legit issue. Camp will dictate it obviously but I think it might be a mistake to lose Alexander barring him having a disaster of a camp. CJ is done for, not much of a loss but i do like the kid and I hope he can land on a team, I just like Alexander's game a lot more, and with McCollough in a suit all year you'd prefer to have him as the 6th active big if he does well in camp. Carrying three PGs is a must for a platoon.

I don't cut Markel, he gives us much needed defense on both guards spots. Ellington is a legit floor spacer.

Karasev has no place on this roster. King needs to handle that.

I would be STUNNED if Earl Clark is retained. A sub .30 percent chucker needs to go home.
