cant really go by "per game" with those volume stats.... its misleading since we play at one of the leagues fastest pace.

8th in RPG, wow.

I think the stats could be "pace-adjusted"?

I was going to say that RPG stat didn't pass the eyeball test. Nets give up TONS of offensive boards.

vasquez looks really injury prone like anything affects his leg and ankle.

prior to his surgery he played:

82
82
79
78
66
70

games. the last 2 being his rookie and second year, where it was DNPs and not injury that kept him out. he has been extremely durable. he is coming back from a season ending injury where he pushed it to play for his national team and the again to be ready for us. the guy is a tough sob who will play hurt. they were smart to sit him out and continue to until he is 100%

This weeks update since i missed it on thursday....

Percentages are down... injuries not helping that im sure. Although even at 24th in percentage with the volume we take it isnt bad as represented in our TS% being top 10.

Hamiltion is crushing it from three and lopez with high volume is third on our team. Harris struggling, you'd assume he would come around with a larger sample, same with bogs.

still too small a sample....

one note, suns and nets are #1 and #2 in pace... so we should see fireworks tonite

We've come a long way. Billy "I don't believe in numbers" King thought this was an offense that could win games...

its really amazing how well kenny has these guys playing within the pace and space system so early.... they seem comfortable. the guys attention to detail and ability to get guys to buy in is remarkable.

and he has the stones to limit guys minutes knowing that over 82 at the leagues fastest guys need to be fresh

talking about development....

RHJ (21st), Kilpatrick(Dleague), Whitehead(2nd round) and levert (20th)

could finsih the year looking better then

smart(5th), young (17th), Rozier (16th), and jaylen Brown (3rd)

it wouldnt be super surprising considering rhondae isnt far off smart, kilpatrick is way ahead of young, whitehead isnt far off what rozier has shown and brown is raw and levert has some upside.

lets keep that in mind every time we lose a game and are blaming kenny for not bringing starters back in for some of these guys who might be struggling

One thing not mentioned but obvious from watching this team.... and something important if you want to be a really good offense:

we pass up good shots for great shots. alot of these open threes guys pass up the shot to give it to someone WIDE open

the whole team can hit the 3 point shot plus this offense really gets alot of players involved, really spurs like offense.

Atkinson Draws From Past to Energize Nets

Great article about Atkinson, Brook and the offense as a whole.

Kenny's for real. He picks the best elements from several of the best and most innovative coaches/analytic guys.

Just so happened that Lin has played for Morey, MDA and the Spurs inspired Hornets.

I hope someone make a Official Nets 2016-2017 defense thread...
the Nets have been regressing in every category...
I understand the team is in developing mode, however I don't see directions of this team on either end... playing at the fastest pace, yet with less fastbreak points and terrible transition defense... it is kinda mindless playing style

I'd be for it, but it's tough to get meaningful statistics on defense through the usual sources. I'd love to see breakdowns of team deflections, contested opponent shots, or shot clock remaining when certain line ups are in play together.

a breakdown of Nets' defensive schemes would be nice... I personally think the Nets are playing a style that they are not capable to execute...

well, the current starting wings cannot defend, and Lopez is awful against the 1-5 PnR. That's pretty much the reason why we can't defend
