When he puts the Morris brothers on their asses, we'll see them REALLY cry! :D

Hope Melo drops 50 on that Morris bum and then drop 50 again on his brother. Then we'll see who needs work on their defense.

I'm so glad Motie isn't a Knick. He would be getting unecessary praise on this board. Hope Harrelson "catches" him.

My question is, how come this kid can compare himself to Melo and people act like it's okay and a good thing...but Marshon Brooks responds to a media member comparing him to Kobe and the kid gets torched by media and fans?

You get butthurt over Morris talking about Melo but you laugh at Motiejunas making of Dwight. Hypocrisy much?

Who cares what they have to say. They're new to this league, they're trying to motivate themselves, they'll fall flat on their faces and learn from it. Let it go.

Lol? We care about our player and don't give a damn about another teams player? Wow. Shocking. I am sure Orlando fans are vehemently defending Melo right now.

I am not sure what you expected.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think trash talking is good for the nba...It gives players not only more motivation, but a point to prove. Now those guys are going to have to back it up and Melo and Dwight will look to make examples out of them.

I like it...

Nah, he can't be joking if he has said it more than once.

I'm sure Melo has this snippet, and will be licking his chops to get at the rook.

A rookie who isn't afraid to be confident gets props from me.

With that being said, Melo better torch him.

Non-issue other than that.

It is because of the Knicks reputation for not playing defense why they made the draft selection they did. I think it is good that our lack of defensive focus has become an embarrassment to the club. Since we have players with pride this is only going to motivate them to dig down deeper and give a much better effort next season.

The coach has has been publicly ridiculed for not focusing on defense, His lack of focus on defense has overshadowed his offensive genus. The only way for our team to get the respect they want is to actually play defense for all four quarters the entire season. It is time to shut people up with our play.

Why does everyone think the answer is for Melo to drop 40 on him? Do you hear any rooks saying they don't want to take after Wade, Lebron, or Kobe on defense? The real answer isn't for Melo to drop more points, it's to start playing some damn defense.

I dont get why he would say that though.
Whether its true or not where does he gain by insulting Melo?
Motie never actually degraded or insulted Howard, whereas Morris verbally implied Melo is a ****ty defender repeatedly for no reason on camera. it cant just be a jealous bitch move it has to be more than that.
I wonder what was Melo's reaction, if he had one.

We have 2 stars that just arent going to play defense, I think we should come to terms with that...

Yeah, STAT might block a shot or 2, and Melo might step it up on a possession or 2, but their just not going to play defense all game.

Which is another reason you have to like the Shumpert pick, if they're not gonna play D, surround them with players that do.

He'll be singing a different tune after he actually plays Carmelo.. our team tends to do that to people.

Big Baby Davis on guarding Amar'e (April 17th):

"It's really not that hard," Davis said. "I don't know why. I've been tripping. I give him too much credit. I just have to make him react to me, not me react to him because it's too late. If he gets one step on you, he's too strong and too quick. You just have to make him play your game."

Big Baby Davis on who the best player in the NBA is (June 24):

I might say like Amar’e Stoudemire because he’s just so hard to guard.”
