Right now, team chemistry is off the charts. The NoVa boys are ballin out and their presence makes Jalen happy. So, they're not going anywhere. We also just proved we're not that good without OG, but we can have success without Mitch and Randle.

With that said, any future trade will probably be for the 4 or 5 spot (unless Devin Booker asks out). Giannis, KAT, Embiid, or maybe Zion are Leon's likely targets to fulfill his "star" get. Then, pay OG, try to retain iHart, and run it back with as much of this current squad as possible while avoiding the 2nd apron.

I don't trust Zion - health, fitness and more. Plus he's a 2pt player in a 3pt league and not a center.

Problem with all those potentially available 4 or 5 is they are all injury prone with some extremely injury prone. Its not always about ability but availability too.

We went fairly hard after Dejounte. He was a combo guard meant to be our starting 2 who would play point while Brunson was on the bench.

DMitch would be an even better defending, higher scoring version of what DeJounte would have brought us.

At this point short of Giannis , I think KAT is the next best bet as he isn't nearly as injury prone as Embiid even though he is somewhat injury prone himself.

KAT can play both 4 and 5 in our offense.

Also we KATs at 49 , 53, 57 and 61M over the next four years. That will not help the 2nd apron.

Get Mitchell at 33M this year and then resign him on our terms as we have been doing with virtually ALL our CAA players.

With all this said I dont hate the idea of KAT in this system bc his offensive versatility is off the charts and would be magnificent paired with Brunson. But I prefer the fit with Spidah with all variables considered including health, cost (contract that WE sign him too), perimeter defense etc.

The Knicks need a back up ball handling Point Shooting Guard. This will allow Deuce to play more off ball, where he is most effective.

Re-sign IHart, trade Mitch and Randle for Anthony Davis.

7 man rotation for the playoffs, no one plays over 32 minutes, everyone gets playing time.

We clearly wanted Dejounte. Spidah is a better DeJounte who also happens to be CAA.

My eyes are on the Bucks .... word is the Dame is unhappy there. If they get ousted early, and Dame wants out, Giannis might start to look elsewhere as well...

Not trying to be funny, but how do you know how hard we went after DeJounte? The media said we were interested, but I'm not sure how far that interest actually went.

Also, bringing in DM would not only slide DiVo out of the starting spot, but could also make one of the NoVa boys expendable. That won't make Jalen happy as our franchise player.

You're correct about the injury concerns.

Brunson about to take paycut so Mitchell can make more than him in 2 yrs when Brunson is the better player? Lol not happening

Giannis becomes a no doubter plan A if he asks out:

1. He gets nicked up but is no where near as injury prone as Embiid. He gets in between 60-72 games last few years. Not great but not terrible for a high usage big either.

2. He isnt CAA but isnt Klutch either.

3. He would pair amazingly with Brunson and is an elite two way player. (MUCH better defender than Randle).

Deuce's ball handling has improved a lot in a short time.
