As I said Maxey actually has a legit opportunity as a starter
I feel like IQ would shine in the same circumstances
Maxey easily having a much better season. No arguments there
Here's Quickley's numbers as a starter
38.6 mpg 22.6 ppg 5.4 rpg 5.1 apg
46.9 FG% 40.1 FT % 84.6 3PT%

IQ could barely bring the ball up the court in the playoffs.

There were so many troubling signs with him on offense, not sure how anyone can be fine with what they saw. He was every bit as bad as Randle offensively, even worse just looking at his shooting splits, his career playoff numbers are ghastly.

Not just the playoffs! I think me and HW were wondering why this can’t bring up the ball passes halfcourt on one man press
Makes me think he’s more suited as a 1.5

i said this 2 years ago. still stand by it.

IQ has potential but he has a long way to go to prove himself at the same level as Maxey as these playoffs showed.

He was dealing with injuries too, that said, I also agree with you. He didn't show up for the playoffs.
The question is whether he can take another step forward. 2022-23 was obviously better than his first 2 years. It's all about whether he can continue to improve. Same with RJ, who showed some flashes in the playoffs. Grimes too needs to get more comfortable with his shooting in the playoffs. All 3 are young enough that we haven't see the best of them so far.

IQ had a great season. lol Many things to be optimistic about. Him having a bad series just means hes gonn work extra hard this off season. I still believe in him and im not gonna give up on him just like that

IQ had a bad series offensively but still made an impact defensively. What I like about him is that he bounces back and improves. He doesn't let his failures stop him from playing defense and trying hard and his leap from year 2 to 3 gives me a lot of hope for him.

Alot of people are ready to give up on the kid. Hes a hard worker, this will fuel him to get better. I still believe in IQ. Better not give up on him because many teams will figure out how to use him. Like Imagine IQ on the Heat. We don't want that.

Tbh, RJ was trash his first time in the playoffs and improved. IQ is a year behind him. Maybe he can improve, maybe he can't. Anyways Maxey is still better

Maxey actually played well in the postseasons he's been in.
Quickley played like Frank Nitlikina.
Quickley the only Knick WORSE than Randle in the playoffs. Let's stop.
