D'antoni decreases the value of players. I remember when he first got here and the plan was to make players look good in his system so we can increase their trade value. Corey Brewer, Nate Robinson, Stephon Marbury, and a host of others were all minimized under D'antoni. Now he's doing the same thing to Pau Gasol.

The guy is a moron.

I know, but I will let myself down if I don't bring up how terrible he is every time I get a chance.

Lakers are quite dysfunctional. Not hiring Phil Jackson was a huge mistake.

I'm not sure that Phil would have been the best choice... but hiring MDA was certainly a mistake. Just a foolish move.

Phil would of been a better choice if not the best choice

David Lee and Jamal Crawford will both make the All Star team. That's what I think.

Stat should wear the Hinrich style of eyewear, seems less interfering with peripheral vision.

This version of LAL Show Time looks like it's hooked on Heroin with a non curable STD.

The way Dantoni is canning Gasol... and the way he is unwilling to play players he doesn't think fit his system..... Knicks oughta be calling him up and getting him to beg for Amare for Pau.

Man...Howard sucks now. It needs to be said.

his mechanical "post moves" are a huge joke. All hes good for is grabbing rebounds now. Cant depend on him on offense for shyt now.

Boozer covered his mouth as he asked Dwight a question and Dwight shoot his head "NO" in disgust.

Boozer: "So you gonna resign with these guys man?"

Dwight: "Fuhck Naw!"

But I thought Kobe wasn't going to break down by guarding PGs all game to improve the Laker defense and set the tone?

D'antoni

I said the same thing in the Trade thread. I guarantee if such a trade went down neither player would come off the bench for their respective teams. Best bet Amare would start with Nash and Pau would play the jumpshooting/passing big man in our starting lineup.

Then we make K-Mart happen for the 2nd unit.

starters - Felton, Shump, Melo, Pau, Chandler
bench - Kidd, JR, Novak, Copeland, K-Mart

I dont think the Lakers are making the playoffs..

...but I wouldn't put any money on it until after the trade deadline, knowing how lucky that franchise has been..they'll be able to flip Earl Clark for Rudy Gay and Josh Smith

I think the Lakers still have a shot at the 8th seed. All the teams ahead of them except for the Mavs are busy imploding (HOU, POR) or are a traveling infirmary (MIN), and the Mavs are only 1/2 game ahead of the Lakers. It will come down to the Lakers and Mavs for the 8th spot.
