Camelo should just defect like a Cuban Beisbol player.

We build a human wall around him and dare Stern to call a foul against a star.

What!?
MozGov: But in the game vs. Miami coach allowed me to smell the powder and face LeBron.

Any of you guys concerned Chicago swoops in for Melo? I'm concerned with Deng's good play - sure that contract is a monster but he may be a top ten SF in the league. What better way for Denver to spite NY?

Finally if you are Melo and you look at it from a basketball Standpoint , Chicago with him added might just be the best starting 5 in the League based on talent (but not necessarily chemistry)... I'm not trying to be a downer but the last time I said I was concerned (w Lebron and Miami) my premonitions came to fruition....

Comments?

Very concerned.
Like I said, if we don't get Melo, it won't be because we couldn't accommodate their requests.
It'll be because Denver wanted to spite us. And Melo. Deng is playing some really good ball to start the season. He's finally added a 3 pointer to his arsenal. That's all he was missing. A case can be made for Wilson as much as anyone in the league at forward right now but his RFA status complicates things and doesn't help us in moving him. But yes, I am very concerned about Chicago and Isiah's "told you so's" to inevitably follow.

How many times does Chicago fans and Chicago press have to say that they are not pursuing Melo in any way?

On top of that, Melo has shown no interest. Chicago is not a threat.

And if Denver calls Chi and asks for Deng, Gibson and a pick, does Chi just hang up the phone?
Face it, 'til the press conference they are a very real threat. If anything I think Jerz is the pipe dream.

That would pretty much prevent a trade going through, no?

So....he'll just walk as a FA...

Seems like a lot to give up for a 3 month rental.

Melo looks like he is trying to fight the urge of enjoying this game.

True, but there are certain things that are just so improbable that it is not worth worrying about. Chicago is one of them for many reasons. Logistically, the Nets are a more likely destination, and even they aren't really in it.

I'm sure if they put that extension in his face right now, that smile will disappear.

NY Post wrote:Carmelo Anthony confirmed a Post report that Chris Paul made a champagne toast at Anthony's Manhattan wedding in July in which he called for himself, 'Melo and Amar'e Stoudemire to team up on the Knicks.

"Everybody was having fun. The Miami Heat was the hot topic at that point. There were a lot of players. They were just laughing and joking about it. It is what it is," Anthony told AOL in advance of his Tuesday showdown against the Knicks in Denver. "It wasn't set up. It wasn't staged. It was just everybody having a good time laughing and joking."

Yup, because that is pretty much like the same thing as winning a ring

Lol, my bad. My sarcasm radar is off because of some of the "logic" found in posts recently.
