Ugghh tell me about it. Fortunately there are shows like Psycho-Pass and Zetsuen from winter that are longer series and should last until spring starts right? I haven't really been keeping up with a lot of shows this season, but, believe it or not, my favorite might actually be Oreshura.

Btw am I the only person who feels like Maoyuu (from the episodes I've seen) is either mechanical, formulaic, predictable, or forced? It seems pretty boring at times, but maybe I haven't watched enough episodes or maybe I'm the only one who feels that way...the rating on MAL seems pretty high (7.71), higher than Oreshura and Sasami (which I haven't watched), so I guess some people like it?

I wouldn't think much of MAL ratings. Oreshura isn't the type of show to get high ratings, and Sasami is ridiculously underrated. It's like the people who were whining about ONE filler episode in Fate/Zero and they all dropped their ratings of it. Lotta dogmatic people on that site (of course I don't mean to generalize because I was a longtime poster over there)

Maoyuu is an interested show, but it does seem to suffer from a lack of identity imo. It doesn't seem to know what it wants to be

Not sure how the Deadman Wonderland anime ended, but the manga is off hiatus...which is great news for fans.

its a good series. I think I like Season 2 better although I think Season 1 is held in higher regard by most. Chris was a very interesting character to add to the show and the whole Kyoko arc is very good. Especially her introduction. Probably one of the funniest moments in recent history for me

Kind of depends on what you're interested in. Maybe try Phantom: Requiem for a Phantom?

Seems like you're into main stream battle animes.

You should check out Full Metal Alchemist: BROTHERHOOD. Very good anime, well written as well.

Keep in mind there are two full metal animes, make sure to find the brother hood version.

If you're into reading, you should check out Air Gear. Nice art and action scenes are cool.

btw has there been an anime that has a worse ending than Gurren Lagann?

It was a fantasy show till the last 5minutes of the last episode. i mean serously, pisses me off to no end.

What happens at the end again? I love Gurren Lagann, and I don't remember disliking the ending, though I can't remember the details. I loved the whole part about EDIT: sorry, forgot people might not want spoilers.

Maybe you shouldn't answer my question.

LOL , i dont wanna go into details, the ending was basically taking a huge dump all over every main character.

Imo One Piece is worth watching. It starts slow but it gets really awesome. By far my favourite anime.

Monster is a pretty interesting show with a lot of episodes. Also, has anyone here watched Shinsekai Yori? I just started watching a little while ago. It's kind of creepy but also kind of interesting. Not sure what to make of it, but I haven't watched a lot of it yet.

I tried the first episode some years ago, but it was too slow and not interesting enough for me. It did seem a bit towards the juvenile and simplistic end. I like my anime with either more humor or more complexity and serious edge, preferable all of the above. You may be right that it picks up after the slow start, but then I saw the massive number of episodes. Too much of a time commitment for me right now. I used to be able to fit in such longer series into my schedule, but not as much time nowadays. So I'd only look at something with a smaller episode order these days and a defined end that's not an open-ended ongoing series.

After finishing the Revolutionary Girl Utena series a while back, I just watched the movie. It had some beautiful, profound images, but overall it wasn't as great as the TV show I think.

I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (first time I've watched anything FMA), and it's awesome.
