This is my favorite song. It just perfect to me. Fuuny that MBDTF is my favorite album ever but the two best verses on it are Ross and Minaj, both of whom I typically hate. Everyone stepped up on this album.

It's 100% RnB and not rap, but it's nostalgia driven so whatever. I just found out Jodeci is back and has an album dropping this month which makes 3 albums I will be purchasing in a single month for the first time since Napster dropped.

Not really sure how I haven't heard this yet, but Flex was playing the hook a ton tonight. For some reason it had me dying.

Damn, I just listened to this song for the first time after browsing through Kanye's MBDTF album about 2 months ago and automatically fell in love with it due to the beat (mainly the sample) and Kanye's verses. I could listen to this all day in any type of mood.
Sadly, it wasn't produced by Kanye.

Re: Official Rap/Hip Hop Thread III
FYI, Kendrick's new album just made a surprise release on Itunes an hour ago.
I am 2 songs away from finishing. My first impression is that sonically this is one of the most unique rap albums of all-time. It is completely soul/funk influenced, but nearly every song has so many layers to the instrumentals, the mixing/mastering is seamless and very crisp, and song structures are broken up between rapping/spoken word/singing/beat switches...just a very different type of musical experience.
Hard to judge lyrics off a first listen, but Kendrick's flows are tight, he changes his tone and delivery throughout, and from what I did pay close attention to he was definitely going in. Luckily, it wasn't overwhelming with the subject matter like I thought it would be pre-release.
Hard to tell how much replay value it will have, but off first listen I definitely think it is at worst just below GKMC. Probably his best album, but time will tell if it will be my favorite.

My first though on the album: Action Bronson is the happiest person on the planet right now.
