I can't picture a label allowing him to release an album in the "about nothing" style...I'm worried...but if he is allowed to do his thing, that'll be epic!

I post at the-coli, but I stick to their entertainment board (the arcadium) more than hip hop board.

I detailed in the Media Lounge's 'Hip Hop' thread the situation involving Rick Ross & the Gangster Disciples. Here is the link to that page below:

viewtopic.php?f=68&t=1179065&start=1470

Well, there is breaking news involving Rick Ross. It's not confirmed if it was indeed the GDs that did this.

Did Rick Ross Just Crash His Rolls-Royce In Fort Lauderdale After Getting Shot At?

This much, at least, is clear: Around 5 a.m. this morning, someone opened fire on a Rolls -Royce on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. More than a dozen shots were fired, and the Rolls ended up careening into the front of a restaurant.

Now for the real question: Was Rick Ross in the car? Witnesses at the scene tell the Miami Herald that the Bawse was indeed inside.

The gunfire and crash both happened outside the Floridian diner; police have found more than a dozen casings, and several bullets hit the car.

The Rolls ended up crashing into the front of the diner. Police say no one was injured in either the shooting or the crash.

But witnesses inside the Floridian say it was Ross who was the target; the manager tells WSVN that a "famous rapper" was seen getting inside the car. The Herald says that rapper is Ross.

Police aren't saying either way so far. We'll update the post when we learn more.

http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/ ... _his_r.php

The radio stations that I was just listening to are also reporting that it was indeed Rick Ross in the vehicle. There is still no word about who was behind this attempt on his life.

Rick Ross' Rolls-Royce smashed into a building in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida early this morning ... while trying to escape from a gunman who opened fire on the car ... this according to multiple reports.

Ross was not shot during the incident -- nor was a female who was also inside the car.

According to local reports, "dozens" of shots were fired at the vehicle around 5AM -- none of which hit the Rolls. Several buildings in the area WERE struck by gunfire.

Ross' Rolls reportedly crashed into a building while trying to speed away from the gunfire.

So far, cops have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting -- and have not identified any suspects.

Local10.com obtained a photo from the crash scene, showing Ross' smashed-up Rolls-Royce being towed away.

Cops tell TMZ they are investigating.

Story developing ...

Just read this article and found it absolutely hilarious and pretty on point. Four classic albums that ruined rap music.

officer william leonard roberts better "cut da check" like those gd's told him to.

seriously though, i'm not wishing death on anybody but these young kids that idolize this stuff that this guy and his group go around saying need a wake up call. these guys are not who they rap about them being. gunplay's chain getting snatched and put around some kid's neck in 50's video (most disrespectful thing i've seen in quite a while, most hilarious thing too), meek starting a feud with cassidy only to not respond when the biggest diss track in about a decade is aimed at him and crew, but instead has the time to run on twitter and talk about how broke cass is instead of at least defending yourself against something that you yourself started. stalley getting punked outside of an ohio airport by some young dudes, ross getting punked by jeezy backstage at a bet awards show, 50 releasing ross' baby mama's sextape, wale is a joke by himself, ross getting shot up, and god knows what else that i can't think of at the moment.. and mmg hasn't retaliated in not a single instance, not even so much as to even address it, they walk around like nothing ever happened. i can't believe how many Ls this group has taken and still around, ja rule's career was ended by much less. the rap game is just messed up.

These guys don't really perpetuate the gangsta image imho...Unless I'm missing something.

Edit: The bolded...it's kinda hard to make out. Meek Mill, Stalley and Wale...they come across more back packer/partyish...respectively.

Was going home from work and was listening to Rosenberg last night on HOT97. He plays like some underground music. Played this song by a rapper named Wax, was about mental health. Anyone know the name of it?

Rick Ross has talked about having fully automatic assault rifles in his music. Using them to knock down property. I heard him once say he has grenades and is going to throw one in your car if you came at him.

Now here is the chance to finally act on your talk. And you run away. Crash into a restaurant go inside and wait for the police.

Trust me there are teenagers who listen to that **** and believe it. Glorify it. Live it and act it out cause they drill it into their head everyday with the music. I know cause I seen it with my own eyes over and over.

Well look at him now. Big tough guy talking junk is a coward when reality confronts his imagination.

That was common knowledge when Jeezy went door to door looking for him though. This is just more of the same. Dude created an image (stole an identity basically) and now the image he has perpetuated has caused him danger. It's CB4 in real life.
