Daryl Morey writes a piece on the perils of NBA scouting/predictions. Jeremy is the centerpiece of his argument:

Is it just me or is Lin more friendly with the bench players than the star players... I noticed from his twitter a/c that the former teammates he is friend with are also mostly bench players as well...

Arne Duncan advised him, "No new friends. Stick with those who were there with you when you got cut or when you're in the D-League."

Good to see he's still stuck close with Jerome and Novak, both his DLeague/Summerleague buddies. Lin and Jordan actually have a good chemistry on court as well, very productive when they were on the floor together. Evidenced in their triple double D-league game back in end January and also (albeit in garbage time) vs the Bobcats where Lin and the bench players played a great game (and when Knicks finally hit the century mark in points this season).

Hope he doesn't come by too soon. See what happens to Grant Hill.

He used to be in the D League even lower than a bench player basically. He played with Novak in the D league as well. Of course he is going to be more friendly with people in similar circumstances/people he played with.
