He's like 175 soaking wet lol. He's a jump shot away from being a first round / late teens lock IMO (also needs to work on handle / conference isn't great...very top heavy). Worst case he's similar to Brewer. Best case is Ariza.

I know this guy is 200 lbs soaking wet, but i think hes a great ball player
He averaged 18ppg, 8rpg, and 3apg...shot 50%
Im not basing this on stats, but i'd take him over plenty of guys that'll be 1st rounders
The pro guys think he lacks a true position. To small to play SF and doesnāt have the outside shooting and perimeter game to play SG.
Also they think he lacks the strength and physicality to guard anyone in the league.
Watched him play a ton of times and dude is a gamer. He put up those rebounding numbers because he plays so hard. he outworks guys for loose balls and rebounds all of the time, his motor is on high 100 percent all the time

Really like Kim English he does one thing better than any current Knick player; hitting opening jumpers. Knicks really need to bring him in for a workout, ASAP. And please people stop saying everyone we mention is not going to be around at #48.
Will Barton will adjust to the NBA physical style of play, dude is just a junior. He actually reminds of Sprewell when he was coming out of Alabama. Athletic, hustler, plays hard, with some court vision and a erratic jump shot.

If they Knicks can land Darius Miller, Doron Lamb or Jared Cunningham I'd be good to go. Miller IMO has more untapped ability and could do even better in the NBA than he did in college. Lamb's shooting ability is obviously top notch but the thing that separates him from a lot of the other shooters is that he's more than just a shooter. Cunningham I think has a lot of uspide and NBA potential. Can defend right out of the box and offensively has a higher overall ceiling than Shumpert (Cunningham has better offensive intincts than Shumpert IMO). As for concerns that Cunningham is too close to being another Shumpert? Is that really a bad thing? Not keen on the "pure shooters". Not really keen on most of the 2nd round PG's. A couple bigs are interesting but I'm still under the notion that there will be plenty of NBA vet bigs that can be had for the vet minimum that would be more than fine to team with Harrelson to backup Stoudemire. So unless we're talking a Plumlee (a young true center instead of a combo big like O'Quinn, Sims, etc), I think a good sized, athletic wing that can shoot and/or defend and/or offer some upside would be the way to go.

Would love to see Knicks find someone in Avery Bradley mold to pair with Shump and shut down opposing guards. Seem's like Cunningham could be that type of player -- not sure of his defensive reputation.

I'd LOVE it if we got Miller. Reminds me of Martell Webster but better.

Lamb is a little soft no?
Still holding out hope we can find a way to get Gordon... If not Yates. Look for backcourt help through free agency.

Yeah I was actually thinking Bradley. Cunningham doesn't have the same rep as Bradley (who was viewed as probably the top defender in his draft at the guard position if I recall) but he was on the SEC All-Defensive First team and was among the leaders across his career in steals. Doesn't have great height but has real nice athleticism and a great build (kinda like Avery Bradley).

I'm the opposite. I think it's easier for the Knicks to find front court help via FA. The way I see it, since in all honestly, Stoudemire probably will be around for the duration of his contract he most likely will be sucking up most of the minutes at PF. With Anthony also able to play PF, a PF type simply isn't a need. So unless the plan is to reach for a high upside PF type that can develop into an eventual Stoudemire replacement (and those guys are the Perry Jones, Terrance Jones types that will be long gone) they can live with guys like Chris Wilcox or Reggie Evans or what not backing up Stoudemire and providing some minutes behind Chandler. Same really goes for PG (where a veteran PG can probably be had for the vet minimum and would be a better choice backing a relatively inexperienced starter in Lin). Sure they can also sign veteran SG's but considering that the long term picture at every position but SG is pretty much covered, taking a SG type with some upside potential (that so happens can also contribute now) IMHO is the best option. Shumpert (especially considering the injury) is the weakest link per se out of any of the projected starters for the next 3 or so years so drafting any of the above 3 would give the Knicks the best coverage at what likely will be their weakest/thinnest spot.

I'm confused why J'Covan Brown is so low on mock drafts, I wouldn't mind us picking him up.

I think we need to start taking shots with our draft picks at finding someone who can fill in when Stat gets hurt even if it is in the 2nd round. No doubt in my mind if Gordon is there you take him. The coach isn't going to play Harrelson much. I can already see that.
I guess you can wait to find a future starting pf until our first in 2014 though.

Not a great defender, is undersized, is a shooting guard in a point guard body, below-average athleticism, average vision...

Still 20 PPG on a popular college team & he not even that bad of a passer, he can still become a PG like Jrue Holiday did.

Holiday was also the #1 player in his HS class, played in a system that isn't great for NBA talents, isn't anywhere near the defensive player Jrue is, isn't as good an overall player as Jrue would have been had he stayed for 4 years, and isn't as athletic. Brown would be ok as a UFA but I wouldn't count on him making an NBA roster in the beginning of the season.
