It is indeed smack talk
The only problem is it will be a trap game because we play the Bulls tonight so we might have no energy left to beat the Bucks

If the Knicks don't come out with energy for what may be the biggest game in like a decade, then they don't deserve to get in the playoffs.

Very true. You know, after what happened with Granger and the how the Knicks responded, hearing Jennifer is adding fuel to the fire can only be +. But... she's not bright enough to realize that is she?
Playoff atmosphere for this one, will be the most important game of the year to date.

I like what he said, teams should be about it this time of year.....Let's get this one tonight and go hoop out vs Milwaukee....he does make a good point, NY will expend some energy vs Chicago tonight and the Bucks are off, I can see them trying to jump on NY early. He has a point! He's a tool, but he has a point
Marv Albert: The Knicks have already said they are not interested in Iverson!
Reggie Miller replies, "You mean to tell me he isn't better than Chris Duhon?"

Honestly I think 21 Shump Street needs to be saved for Monta Ellis. Jennings shoots at a lower percentage anyway, I feel Monta will be a bigger threat offensively.

They are both streaky and a big threat when they are hot. I say let team defense shut down Ellis, since he likes to drive in more than Jennings, and Shumpert shut down Jennings, so he can be right up on Jennings when he tries to shoot threes.

seriously, this is not smack talk. He said nothing about the knicks that could be interpreted as him putting them down.
The Lamma wrote:It IS smack talk. Here's the quote.
Brandon Jennings on blowout loss to OKC: "For sure, Wednesday [vs. #Knicks], that's not going to happen."
Granger saying "two winnable games" implies we were a relatively easy opponent and is def smack.
Ennings doesn't imply quite that, but what it does say is this "we're not THAT good to where we can steamroll them like OKC. OKC might be that good, but the Knicks are not."
The bottom line is this: If you talk about the result, if it's decisive, it's smack talk. You can say you're "hoping" for the win and that's one thing, if you're "going" to win, it's another. Him saying "not going to happen" implies certainty which = smack.
Granger definitely was smack talk because he undercut the Knicks
Jennings says that they arent getting blown out by the Knicks. he isnt guaranteeing a win. All he said was that the Bucks werent getting blown out.
that isnt smack talk
they arent equal. One is smack talk, one isnt.

Ellis is the better scorer, but Jennings will have the ball in his hands more, and be more instrumental for dictating the flow and tempo of the game. I think for this reason you have to put Shump on Jenny. If Ellis starts going off, then switch him up.

Shump is so good he can guard both of them at the same time.

I still find it funny that Jennings said he would go to a big market in FA. As if there was some sort of competition for his services.

I'd like to see Smith match up with Ellis. He basically would be guarding a slightly better offensive version of himself.
