That we're not allowed to compare players?

If Stat was healthy he would still not have a post game, he would still not be a good rebounder, he still wouldn't be a better defender & he still wouldn't have a better offensive game.

Stat is explosive PnR to the rim & that's it :dontknow:

When did I say you can't compare the players? What is wrong with people assuming things. Got damn.

Stat is a better scorer than Bosh though.

You should take your own advice and stop assuming.

I asked a question not make a statement. And Stat should be a better scorer if he attacks the rim more, I would expect that from any player who does that.

:dontknow:

To be honest I'm amazed that he's putting up the numbers he has while playing with Wade & Bron. It's to the fact that he's being misused.

He's a third option on offense & he's STILL better than Stat

It's easy to put up numbers when no one is guarding you

Oh cmon now

So because he's open it takes away from what he's done? So what about the shots Stat has missed open over & over again?

Yes, it does. All that he's proven is that he's a better spot-up shooter than Amare.

Naw I'm good. See last year. Stat was far more of an offensive threat than Bosh.

He put up better numbers when he was the only guy on the team.

He's played pretty good against us this year... especially the Lin game where we had no answer for him.

And Amare was in the running for MVP under the same circumstances. I'm not sure how people can say Bosh is better when Amare is coming off an injury and Bosh gets no defensive attention on most nights.

last year nobody would say bosh > amare. this year amare hasn't been himself except for a very short amount of time. so it's hard to make this comparison.

before a month ago, something like 20/30 guys were playing better then melo. now how many are ? 3 ? 4 ? 5? see what i'm saying.

Bosh was a mvp candidate in 09/10 from November to January until he got hurt. The raptors were 5th in the east in January.

He did more than get hurt. He straight up quit on them.

Career head to head it's pretty much a wash. Maybe a slight edge to Stat, considering he had Marion clearing the boards for most of these games. Bosh got the better of him once this year - the other game a wash - but he wasn't playing as well as he was even today at that point.

I like this matchup for Stat though. On D, he's primarily worried about Bosh's midrange and he has the length to give him problems. Stat is too explosive for Bosh and I think the Heat would need to double him up.

Stat is going to have to keep his head up for shooters and cutters more than usual. I want to see some assists from the big fella.

That is something the media feeds you. Bosh played his heart out, hit game winners every game.

Melo IMO has played better than everybody this month. But you are absolutely correct about the Amar'e vs Bosh comparison. Seems like they are mainly comparing them two to this year. Idk

Please...Bosh wasn't even in the top 20 in clutch stats that year.

So you mean tweeting "what team should I play for next year" while your team is collapsing and you have teammates questioning how hurt you really are is completely media created?

Right...

Amar'e did for half a year... before that he was playing with a hall of fame PG.

And injuries matter... if a guy is historically healthier than another then he has to be credited that in any comparison. Bosh is also a smarter player and gives more effort on the other side.

What's funny is you can swap players and they would be infinitely better... Stat would be the benefit of James' playmaking and Bosh would be the benefit of having a larger role and better fit.

I disagree. I don't factor in injuries when comparing players. This debate isn't about who are you investing in. It's about who is a better basketball player. I approach that question from the assumption that we're comparing each player when they are at their best. As a basketball player, I take Amare every time. Especially when I'm factoring in the mental aspects of the game. I don't see a warrior when I look at Bosh.

As far as the swap, Bosh would be effective here because he stretches the D better and would get more chances with the ball

Amare would be having a much better season, because nobody would be guarding him.
