In light of the the recent "Nash to the Knicks" discussions that have sprouted in recent weeks, I thought it interesting that out in Arizona there has been some
"Lin to the Suns" talk. It seems fitting to at least take note of it here since both moves have about the same chance of happening.

Jeremy Lin's "Year of the Dragon" Nike Destroyer Jacket:
http://stupiddope.com/2012/05/29/jeremy ... er-jacket/I'm not sure I like the dragon-theme. It seems a bit too ethnocentric and stereotypical for Nike to put that in. It came across a bit tacky to me. They also have an icon of Palo Alto, California but not NYC, lol. The Harvard symbol was a nice touch, though.

And folks seriously think the Knicks aren't bringing this kid back.

Yeah, Nike shamelessly made sure they hit the marketing trifecta in their design

You've got the California state patch to help it sell well in the nation's most populous state. You've got the Knicks colors and the words "New York" on the back to help it sell well in the world's largest media capital of NYC. And then you've got the dragon motif to help it sell overseas in Asia. It's like a marketing team's wet dream.
Nike is going to exploit the heck out of Jeremy Lin's marketing appeal, especially since Nike didn't have to pay much (they signed Lin way back early in his career before Linsanity ever happened, presumably for a cheap contract since he was an unknown).

So there's been a sighting of Jeremy in LA, the president of some Taiwan University happened to run into him at their hotel and took pics. My question is why is he there? Say if he was negotiating with the Lakers, does he need to personally fly over? (tho it may very well be just a private trip)

Well, Hollywood and the film studios are down there. Maybe he's filming his Volvo commercials?

He's probably accepted some personal appearance obligations in California this summer also. So he's probably going to get recognized in airports with increasing frequency from now on.

No, he's not from LA. He's from Palo Alto in the Bay Area in California. The San Francisco Bay Area is NorCal (Northern California). Los Angeles is SoCal. NorCal and SoCal are like two different states with slightly different cultures and a bit of a rivalry.
