STAT missing isn't going to be that bad as everyone thinks. Team played fine without him against the Heat in that regular season game in the Garden, that's when Melo dropped 42 on the Heat playing PF. Only thing now is that Shump won't be playing that means Knicks are down a depth player. That's where JR has to play golden, if he wants that big contract then I'd expect him to play hard these 2 crucial home games.

PG: Baron/ Bibby
SG: Fields/ Douglas
SF: Novak / JR
PF: Melo/ Jorts
C: Chandler/ Jeffries

That starting lineup is the best we can throw out at this point. Baron guards Chalmers, Fields on Wade, Melo on LeBron, Chandler on Bosh, & Novak on Haslem. Defensively it doesn't hurt us cause Novak will be guarding Haslem. I really hope that Novak gets put in the starting lineup & not JR or even Toney. We need JR to come off the bench. There's still a little bit of hope left IMO especially if Lin comes back for Game 4. If we win Game 3, and then Lin comes back for Game 4 I think his return will light a fire for the team. (Sort of like Willis Reedesque type of ****) If we tie up this series I think we'd have the advantage (momentum wise) and we'd be able to beat the Heat. [/endwetdream]

That's the best case scenario IMO. Worst case is that we are swept and get embarrassed by the media until next season starts.

I hope we get to see Jorts/Jerome in some quality mins. I think they could surprise us against the Heat. After all they do have a size problem..

Francesa called Amare's points useless and other things. SAS and Ruocco ponder if the Knicks could use this to restructure Amare's contract, to help them out. Yeah, Amare is getting killed.

Woodson has no trust, and in turn, he's wearing guys out. Jorts should have played since game 1. Why does he need to push a hobbled JJ for 6 minutes, when he can barely move? Look at Pop; no problem playing his young guys.

not sure if the new CBA allows for restructuring of a contract - would be best for both to parts ways

How do we do that without his salary counting against the cap. Philly was interested before he lost his brother....we should have done something then....

Pop has developed a strong confident relationship with all his players and he once said that the fundamental trust he has in all his players is an epitome for cohesiveness, balance and winning games. Consequently, all his rotation players feel as though they are just as good as Duncan, Parker & Manu and performed beyond their threshold of talent. Woodson, please don't let the door hit you on the way out....
