I still want Meeks from Philly. Id still consider trading a combo of Fields and TD for him. maybe one of them and our 2nd round pick? Not sure philly would be interested.

I'm assuming the bird rights hearing lets us resign Lin & Novak & still have MLE (dream/orgasmic scenario)

- Draft Kyle O'Quinn with the 48th pick
- Resign Lin 5 years 30 mil
- Resign Novak 2 years 7 mil
- Sign Nash to 3 years 20 mil
- Let Fields go
- JR opts in
- Sign Dahntay Jones to vet min (Will come because he's good friends with JR & Melo)

PG: Nash/ Lin/ Douglas
SG: Shumpert/ JR
SF: Anthony/ Jones
PF: Stoudemire/ Novak/ Jorts
C: Chandler/ O'Quinn/Jordan

People with this re-signing nonsense. The Knicks are STRAPPED due to those 3 murderous contracts. You can do that in Miami where they have 3 players who are still in their prime but here, we have one player who can't get insured.

If bird rights are given, resign everyone. JR opts out but resigns for a salary starting at 3 million. Use tax payer's MLE on a backup PG.

If no bird rights are given: Move TD+3 million for cap space. Keep Fields with MLE. Keep Fields. Keep JR. Use LLE on a backup PG.

We don't have $3M to trade. We used that in the Turiaf deal.

I thought it could be used once a year. I may be wrong though.

Edit: Also I meant keep Lin with MLE. Keep Fields.

Does the new year start with the new FA period or after? I honestly don't know.

You'd think with it, since we traded Turiaf during last years free agency, didn't we? Or did training camp start by then? What I do know is that it doesn't shift until after the draft.

I think we can trade $ after July 1. Problem is we can't use it during this draft. It is now more of a premium not to just be added to a trade.

I think smith crosses the east river to the nets.

If union wins:
Keep Lin novack and fields.
Use mle on Odom
Lle on Kidd
Sign a shooting guard, try Allen, then look around.
Draft Machado.
Move Douglas for anything.

If lose:
Take out Odom and novack above.

Id throw the entire MLE at kid if the union won. Have him come off the bench behind Lin, but they could play together to close out games. Not many PGs I rather Lin learn under than Kidd. Of course, if we could get Nash, I'd go after him first. However, Kidd is more likely to be available for the MLE.
