Unfortunately Johnny, I can't see that Hulu clip. Hulu doesn't work here in Europe.

NO more injuries, please! I have a weak heart as it is!

Speaking of melo...Georg Karl never taught Carmelo defense. I really question Karls teaching skills. Dont get me wrong great coach but can he really develop championship caliber players and lead his team to a title? Well, hes got to try so maybe someday. But great coach for sure. One of the greatest offensive coaches in the NBA. Im sure hell eventually get a championship.

So maybe if Karl does the things championship caliber coaches do every game, then he could be a championship quality coach?

If he were our coach I would be bumming.
D'Antoni >> Karl.
And I'm not a D'Antoni advocate.

Stat is never going to be Ben Wallace but he if he give 2 bpg and display more effort and energy on D, I'll be happy. Remember how he defended Dirk in that one game? Stat is capable. He just hates playing d. Woodson needs to punish him and cut his minutes if he lacks effort.
Not an excuse but I think Stat plays better d when he's happy on o. Woodson must get him 15+ shots.

Ever since his back troubles, Stat has had maybe a dozen games where he moved well. He actually looked good briefly when he came back from his rest period at the end of the season, but it was fleeting. The point is even if he does commit to playing D the two obstacles to him doing it well is his lack of understanding how to play team defense and his physical condition.
He looked wooden almost all season long and if his back is bad, his upper body is going to remain disconnected to his lower body and he won't have the coordination and reaction to move his feet on D and react well with his hands and arms. Being able to dunk the ball sometimes is not a good test of his fitness, moving and defending well on defense is.
He looked robotic and afraid of contact, not something new perhaps, but worse than ever. So we'll see where he's at. His mindset is one thing, but if his back is wack, he'll remain a big liability on defense.

EDIT: Before I get killed for "hating" on Stat I just want to qualify that he's still my favorite player on the team...
This isn't hating. It's an observation...
I watched him play a bit smarter under Woody at first but nothing seems to stick. I'll believe he's a good rotater when I see it...

This is like that thread...who is scared of the stacked Sacramento Kings...nobody, lol...
The good coaches...they salivate at the opportunity to attack Amare...easy buckets...you can probably rely on an entire gameplan designed to exploit him...

Amare's problem on defense is his weight center is too high and he lacks the positioning instincts. He needs to be instructed closely what to do in which situation by the coaches.
Under Gentry, he finally started to box out on rebounding, instead of just jumping to the rebound as he used to. But he is unable to also figure out the proper timing to separate from the guy he fended off to actually get the rebound. This resulted in his rebounding number decrease a bit over the last 3 years. On the Knicks team, we see a lot of times particularly Fields snatch the rebound away from Amare because the latter is slow at grabbing it himself after boxing out.
As to PnR defense, he just cannot properly calibrate his rotations and often mechanically over steps on cutoffs of the ball handler. He is willing to follow the instructions on defense which Woody and Gentry would be willing to provide while MDA didn't care to do. He will do better, maybe adequate enough for the team. But he'll never be like KG or Tyson.
Gentry felt Nash's teammates were watching him too much and the offense had become stagnant.. "He had the ball all the time, and making all the plays. .. One of the things we looked at was having more ball movement and more people movement..."
