The outrage over this is hilarious. The point completely goes over the head of people.

How about saying, " I don't beat my wife, now is the lottery fixed." Stern has fined NBA players for using figure of speech, so he should know better.

The OP doesn't seem to understand that it is a loaded question. LOL the op even went and search up if Rome did actually beat his wife hahaha. Stay in school.

The point is that Stern's response was unprofessional as the NBA commissioner regardless of whether or not he was provoked.

What makes it worse is that he was wearing a wife beater under his dress shirt. This guy has no class.

Bizarre to me that people would be upset about this. Jim Rome is a notorious dick who just wanted to stir trouble up for Stern. Stern has been asked about, and repeatedly denied, any question of lottery rigging. The idea that this is some sort of new ground, when this question comes up virtually every year after the lottery, is simply wrong. Rome was trying to get a rise out of Stern with a tired line of questioning.

Stern's response was hilarious and in-bounds. The guy has always been off-the-cuff, this is just another move in that vein. I like a little personality in the NBA commissioner.
"Reason No. 12,356 why I love the NBA: The Curry-Randolph combo marks the first time in NBA or WNBA history that a team has started two C-cups at the same time." - Bill Simmons
