Made the decision to drop from pledging. Can't see myself being in a frat, and I have other commitments that are just more important to me. Feel like I've made the right choice.

I thought u were in a frat? Or do u just go to their parties?
not in a frat. hate frat douches. go to frat parties with my girlfriend, but not a big fan of them. same stuff -- douchebags and constantly being pushed.
yea, frats here are like 90% red necks. Not sure of vandy is the same.
Btw, out of curiosity, what made you go from new York to Cashville? (not saying it was a bad decision, just most Yorkers I know won't move from there to Tennessee).

frat guys here aren't really red necks; they are just huge ****. entitled pieces of crap, don't know boundaries, no respect/manners, etc. honestly, i can go on and on about this. there are a few guys in frats i like, but that's because either i knew them before they were in a frat (knew them from home), i met them at transfer orientation, or i met them through a friend.
i didn't move here -- just transferred schools. are you asking why i transferred?

The thing is this frat I went to is different than most frats, they really don't come off as douchey at all.
Actually saw some of the bros at a party last night... it was pretty awkward needless to say.
Happy with my choice. Now I just need to focus on my studies and the gym

yea, meant why you transferred
-transferred to a better school (the most important reason)
-first two years at old school sucked
-always wanted to go to a school with a big sports program
-i knew a lot of people here already
-change of scenery / try something different
-old school was too small
-people at my old school were bigger douches than the ones here

I actually went to Cashville a couple of weeks ago for an Albanian party. Very nice place. Kills Memphis.

It's alright my guy, we cool.
Isn't Nashville where Johnny Cash if from? I know Young Buck used the term in his raps alot as well.
I've also heard Nashvegas before too, but i have no idea why.

I never thought I would get mad at an intramural basketball game.
I lost an intramural basketball game. I do not really care because it is intramural and coed. I'm just in it for the laughs and exercise. But, I got kind of mad at this one.
The opposing team had a guy who was 6'9-10. He was talking so much, not trash talking, just talking. He was whack too. He was playing point guard even though he had 9 inches on everyone there.
Anyway, he finally had the courage to go up for a monster dunk, he missed and was hanging on the rim, and he let go of the rim way to early, so he fell from the rim right on his back (looked painful). The wind was knocked out of him. The referee called a foul on our team after he fell and got hurt. My teammate touched his shorts, barely, just as a way to protect himself from the tall guy hanging from the rim. And the referee called foul. Biggest bs.
I just got mad because we were only down by a couple of points, and the tall guy ended up making both his free throws. And also, that was in no way a foul. The referee must have just felt sorry for the tall guy, or the referee felt there was too much damage done for there not to be a foul.
