I mean, the same can also be said for Shumpert but then again, Shump wasn't the one asking for millions upon millions of dollars due to a very nice (and impactful) NBA stretch. Not trying to turn this into yet (another) Lin thread, but noticed how he's still hurting.

You're free to discuss Lin or any non-Knick in this thread. Have at it.

Two rookies who have impressed me are Drummond and Beal. Both guys i was not high at all when they got drafted. But if the preseason games are any indication of what is to come then those guys are two studs.

Especially Drummond. That guy looks like a freaking monster. So damn athletic.

I haven't seen Drummond, yet, but everything I have read sounds good. I had an ongoing discussion with one of my friends last year about him (he's a UCONN fan) -- he wasn't a fan of him and said he'd suck - I thought he'd be a stud. I hope he pans out...the talent is definitely there. My biggest issue with him is that he doesn't try to dunk everything when he's in the paint (which he should be trying to do, being a center with his athleticism).

I thought Beal looked FANTASTIC against us. I'm really interested in watching him play...hated to like him at FLA (SEC school). He can create his own shot off the dribble, can run the pick and roll a bit, attacks the rim HARD, and can shoot the lights out.

Oh yeah...and Festus has been killing it for GS. SO happy for him. Vandy rep. Anchor down. 8-)

Here you go. What impresses me is his freakish athletism for a big man. Also, for some reason I thought he would be a big dummy out there and not know how to play. But he actually cuts, sets himself up for rebounds and covers his man well. Maybe crying on nationally tv changed this guy for the better. I sure hope so.

Honestly this is only 2 preseason games but the Pistons might have the steal of the draft.

Painfully, and I mean painfully, obvious that we gave up a young stud PG for no particularly good reason.

He got torched by Westbrook and didn't look great vs OKC.

He looked good against one of the projected worst teams on the league that didn't play their two best players in Gordon and the Brow.

Same thing as last year.

Excels vs bad teams, gets exposed by good ones.

It's painfully obvious, and it's also simply painful. The franchise finally caught a break, and then threw it away out of stubbornness.

Like when we beat Dallas and LA last year? I remember them asking Kobe whether he was a flash in the pan, and Kobe saying something like "it didn't look very hard for him to do the things he did." And Kobe isn't a guy who minces words, as we know.

Oh no, he only had 14/7 the second time. Definitely a bust.

This is funny. Melo gets points on bad fg% he sucks. Lin has an abysmal 30% shooting and that shows he is good. ROFL . Good one keep it up.

So 25 games isn't enough of sample size to re-sign the guy, but 1 game is plenty when it supports your denial phase. Okay! :D

It's always a terrific idea to give up a player who has unique tools and a great mind for the game because ... his contract didn't meet the approval of an ignoramus like J.R. Smith.

I guess serious denial makes people mad. Should we post some of the shooting percentages in individual games that Iman Shumpert had? How about Carmelo Anthony?

Would you let Iman Shumpert walk if we had a choice between losing him for nothing and paying him a little more than you would like? I sure wouldn't let him walk.

You don't know what you're talking about my friend.

Lin basically had one very bad game all season, versus the Heat. He was very good to great in almost every other game. Even the games without big numbers, he helped them win, something we Knicks fans hadn't seen in a while. A kid who knows how to help his team win the damn game.

You are inventing this narrative of him doing badly against good teams. It's a theory in your head.
