TKF's analysis would've been something like this.

Melo isolated way too much in the 2nd half, killed ball movement and almost allowed the Pacers back into the game. Team did a great job of moving the ball but Melo single hand-idly killed it. Wish we never made that trade, imagine Gallo and Chandler running with Kidd and Pergioni out there.

nah... back when TKF still actually did keys he wasn't in full-blown anti-melo mode. He woulda just trashed Hibbert and Hill a lot.

Ugly game but we got the W,that's what's important.

Hornets are next. They've been solid this season but if we stay focused and play well we should take that one and improve to 8-1.

I agree. His last few games haven't been great. When he scores AND we all play defense, we are even better.
From what I seen he is still an improvement over the Melo of years past.

And Felton's 43% is not great either. Unfortunately I think that is a bit of where he is going to be.

I would also like to see him shooting a higher percentage. but with the way he goes down low and gets hammered time after time and still gets the rebound, i cant complain too much. Its not like he's takin every shot he sees. Melo is playing well inside the teams offense.
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

Back then, most TKF key threads ended in losses though.

He had no turnovers.

He shot 9-22 and considering he got hacked (no-call) at least 6 times he could have easily shot 50% + ......

His shot selection has been good and he's making the right plays offensively and that's the important part.

Here's why I said in the game thread about selling the foul.....

When Melo drives into defenders he isn't looking to finish, he's looking to get the call, and the backup plan is to follow a poor shot.

He doesn't have to flop like he got shot, but he has to force the call.

His fg% is taking a brutal hit over it.

I agree. Wish we could have done that in the Grizzlies game, but oh well, you live and you learn.

i think part of what limits Melo is he's only decent at finishing at the rim. He can't always look for calls at the basket, he's got to finish some of those baskets.

It seems he gets his shot stuffed so often in the paint.

Hibbert had 6 turnovers.

The Knicks had 9.

yeah he had an excellent pass out of a double team where he made the pass after he jumped to release the shot.

He missed some jumpers, but then again he also missed a few shots when he took it to the rom.

He needs to add a floater to his game. That's one of the things that separates him from Durant.

That's not going to cut it anymore. Flopping is done.
