Man you can see Nash and Amare still love each other. You think this would be a win win for each team? Pau is pretty bad defensively, but he's not as bad as Amare. Also, Pau is used to the low post and would thrive being the #2 scoring option. His talents are being wasted in LA, whereas Amare has that midrange shot that D'Antoni wants. I think it would be the best for both teams.

No. Pau Gasol has his own knee issues, and he's older and slower. Although we don't have D'antoni, we are still running his syste, offensively. We'd have the same issues with spacing that the Lakers have been having. Atleast Amar'e is athletic enough to attack in transition. Plus he's willing to come off the bench.
Getting Pau would cause as bunch of chemistry issues and drama. We don't need drama, we've had drama for the past 10years. We should just stick with what we have and go all in with this roster for a championship this year

Paus a better fit tbh. Better rebounder defender and passer and I have more faith in his mid range game. Amare was automatic 2 years ago but last year was dreadful from that 14-18 ft range . I'd do it but I still have faith in STAT

I wanna see how STAT works out. People say spacing will be an issue but in reality we have great spacing with Ronnie fccuking Brewer in the game STAT is a better shooter and should thrive with Kidd/Felton, defense is a whole new story

No other team in the NBA wants Pau. He's pretty much done.
Why should we take him off the Lakers hands?

Cuz no team wants Stat either. We are talking about fit right now, both players are at about the same level.

Yes because his contract is 1 year shorter and he also fits our team better as the low post scorer next to Tyson. I believe Amare can play well next to Melo/Tyson but it's still a wait and see with him coming bak from injury. Last year wasn't a good indicator at all with Amare being overweight. Still Pau has less injury concerns than Amare so it's a no brainer.

Pau is coming off a major verbal injury from Kobe.
He's currently suffering from PutisBigusBoyusPantsOnis.

WTF does this mean? You expecting Amar'e to punch more extinguishers this year?
Amar'e isn't coming off major knee surgery. If he were, he would miss the whole year.

Amare is kinda the reason the knicks are turning it around. He made the knicks a desirable place to play and he deserves a chance to be part of it.
People seem to forget that after february, he was close to his old self. He was shooting something like 56% the last two months of the season and when he and melo and chandler played under woodson, they were like 9-2. Yeah, he got hurt in preseason but he has worked hard and from all reports looks pretty good.
I would rather go with the devil we know then the one we do not know.
