I'm pretty sure it's not cocaine. Likely just weed and cough syrup. That's why we called him "Purp."

I also doubt he had the intent to sell. TMZ sensationalizing again.

i think he got depressed that he didn't get call from nba team this season he wanted to come sign here veteran minium but dolan didn't want to sign him because he signed with nets for more money last year.

Codeine Cough Syrup and Cocaine are not "that different" in terms of addictiveness and dangerousness....Codeine is a strong narcotic drug, potentially much more addictive than cocaine.

Having said that, Damn Purp...this makes me really sad. As someone who has dealt with drug issues for a few years, I empathize with him and know how easy it is to fall back into it when things don't go perfectly. But damn, damn, damn.

Good luck Shawne Williams. It looks like your NBA career is over.
