Not to go into investigation mode, but I wonder if someone killed his mother who had a connection to the school.. or maybe the mother killed herself due to something at the school.. and out of anger the kid went to the school on a rampage? Such a f*cked up situation... poor kids, and adults..

Thats part of it. But not the root. Some of the messages being taught to kids make things such as this possible. So many time we teach our kids not to lose. They cant take loss or embarassment. They cant take a loss. Kids are not well rounded. Movies and entertainment are extremely violent. Then they are shocked when bad things happen.

He killed the mom and her entire class. But this centered around some administrative meeting.

That's just straight up BS.

Video games dont make people kill. But it sure desensitizes them. The last few years everybody who has carried out a mass shooting has played or even practiced with video games. Mentally it breaks down roadblocks that naturally there. Someone naturally wouldnt be able to carry out miltiple killings without some type of training or something that would prepare them to see death.

I'm starting to think that facebook page posted earlier is the right one. It had him working in New Jersey. CNN just said his brother was found dead in that exact location. Coincidence?

Dont drag video games into this.

COD and Battlefield dont train you to do anything except press a button. You dont physically hold a machine gun and pull the trigger. You dont pull the pin out of grenades with your own hands.

its the dumbest argument to use against gun control.

That's really still mental health. Mental health isn't just about totally bonkers, it's about the type of things parents are telling their kids based on how the parents themselves are mentally aligned, it's about how the media portrays violence based on things other than moral responsibilty, etc. This is pretty much very much about mental health. To give you guys an idea...we had a kid tried to commit suicide by jumping out of his 3rd floor classroom at the local HS. He pretty much broke every bone in his body and was dying and what were other kids around him doing? You guessed it, taking pictures of the scene. That's a form of something not right mentally with people.

True, I wonder if its someone who knew his password and has a sick sense of humor.. I mean what are the odds that another Ryan Lanza lives in that town and also works in Hoboken where his brother was found dead.

What you described, I would still categorize as a mental health/cognitive issue. People who don't know right from wrong, who have a delusional sense of reality and locus of causality, control and the like, who react poorly to negative real world stimuli suffer from mental issues or are simply just too underdeveloped.

I would also argue that if a person is able to look at the (for the most part) purely fictional worlds of video games, movies, and other entertainment and manipulate themselves into believing that somehow the rules and events of those games and such apply to the real world, or are okay in the real world, are suffering from mental issues as well.

Enough about the blame, there is bigger issues right now, lets stop arguing about blamming gun laws, video games, etc.

The blame is 100% on the killer, he was a sick, twisted individual.

This really ruined my day.

My condolences and prayers go out to the families affected by this tragedy. This is such a sickening story.
