He aint leaving 30 mil on the table, and i can't imagine who the Lakers would pillage if they had to trade him.

I do not think they do it and force him to walk.

The "he's not leaving money on the table" argument always fails. Lebron, Bosh and Wade all left money on the table to join a winning team. Dwight will not stay on a team that misses the playoffs (or barely gets there).

Dwight will bolt this summer. I assume he'll be asking to get traded before the allstar break with Brooklyn as the main destination.

No, they really didn't, they went to a state where they could maximize their take home pay, they all signed six year deals worth over 1110 mil.

They didn't leave a years salary on the table either, which if Dwight walks with no trade, is what he would be doing, those guys were signed and traded.

Does Dirk hold a no-trade clause on his contract? Cuban has a history for making the craziest deals.

Yes he does.

And where would he go? Only real free agent destination is ATL, his hometown and a pretty good fit too. I still don't think they are contenders though if he goes there. DAL is in the same situation as the Lakers. If he asks for a trade to BROK, Lakers would have to consent to this idea. It isn't impossible he goes to BROK, but I just don't see the Laker's front office doing it after just acquiring Howard in a supposedly steal of a trade.

It'll hurt Mitch and the Laker's ego too much to call this a mistake. It's easier to blame Pau and trade him for pieces that fit them instead.

If Dwight is going to leave some money on the table to sign as a FA with a team that can contend with him, then here's a scary thought: Houston has $14+ mil in cap space this offseason to sign him to the tune of $62 mil.

Lin-Harden-Parsons-Howard-Asik, youngest team in the league.

Good lord no, with that lineup....and Dwight isn't leaving almost 40% of his pay like that.

Dwight should get traded. I saw that article about Marshon, who I think could become a great player, going to LA and Dwight going to Nets with Phil Jackson coming to coach. That would be crazy.

The ESPN ticker was saying something like "Dirk mulling over a trade request" with nitpicked quotes...the article is completely different. Wow, I got played.

When I first read the headline I also couldn't believe it and then in the article it was just so obvious that the author was trying the hardest to stirr some controversy. I'm sure you weren't the only one. But if there is one thing that's certain in today's NBA, it is that Dirk Nowitzki is a Maverick until he starts playing baseball.

Being from Germany I don't get around Nowitzki news so i got the impression that he has to be the classiest and most humble guy in the league and that he would never leave Cuban. Seriously I could care less about his nationality, it's just that there are so many stories about him around here. He wouldn't even get into public mind games.

Dwight Howard is out at least 1 week with a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Re-evaluated next week.

DJO and Machado both guys we wanted and both waived on the same day. IIRC DJO played pretty good defense cut White for him.

Omri Cassipi wants a trade out from the Cavaliers, he's only making about 2 million this year.

He does intrigue me but we have no minutes for him with our rotation. He could be useful for next season though.

D'Antoni likes to cut/release players who play defense like Corey Brewer

Wizards beat the Thunder

Where is everyone who overreacted over the Knicks' loss to the Kings?
