Think Dantoni wants Novak? Novak+Brew for Artest?

The Lakers are now a Dantoni team. Dantoni needs players that fit his system. Lets be honest, Artest isn't a player that really interests Dantoni. But Novak does.


Two things the lakers are lacking is depth and personel for the system. Knicks trade Novak and Brewer for Artest.

Clears a roster spot in which we can sign a PG or another shooter. Somone like Bill Walker could be ok to bring back if he is in shape. Im not a huge Walker fan, but he is a 40% 3pt shooter and can provide spacing/shooting when needed. And he has a report with most of the team.

White isnt a big drop off from Brewer, and with his athleticism may be better then brewer anyways. Same can be said with Cope and Novak.

Artest would be great on this team, would add another tough defensive veteran and hes a die hard knicks fan. Would give us somone to sick on Lebron/Joe Johnson/Pierce and Durant if we meet them in the finals. Its about time somone ripped off the Lakers for once.

As much as I love Novak I would do it in a heartbeat. But that's not happening.

So do I, but its something i have been thinking about for a while, and decided id post it. Dantoni would be drooling at the chance at getting Novak on his team, and Brewer is a rotation player on any team in the NBA. And has value on his name alone.

Id love Artest though

Would love to have MWP on this team. This team really needs some Toughness and who else to better provide that then MWP. Not to mention he wud be reborn playing for the team he always dreamed of playing. Unlike Brewer he cud shoot the 3, create a shot for himself, can play both Foward positions so Melo and him cud alternate who to guard, he is prob 1 of the strongest players in the league and wont back down from anyone. But i dont see it happening as NY has a love thing for Novak

MWP is a PERFECT fit next to Melo. So yes I'd pull the trigger in a hearbeat. Novak will probably get booted out of the rotation any way cause we already have enough lousy D from Stat.

So is Novak. The lakers arnt going to stop anybody defensivly with Mike as the HC. Might as well load up on shooters.

Not sure how finances affect Lakers but Ron Ron is getting almost $8M next season.
