Whenever someone talks positive about a Knicks role player, some people need to call him overrated. Like clockwork.

He's very slow, its not exactly like he doesn't put effort to play defense, theres a reason this guy wasn't drafted a few years back, his laterall movement is really slow.. even on offense we call him slow Melo.. so chill with the whole he can't play defense, he is trying his best to his ability and thats all he can do.. its not like Amar'e where he has the amazing athleticism to play defense, and the speed to play defense..

When full team he is fighting the spot with Novak and Brewer, could be a fringe player in this team but certainly have a role in the league, it's always feeling good a player like Copeland is our "insurance" when the team is missing some players due to injury.

For the part of lack of defense......it really isn't a big problem for him, since he's quite efficient on offense (look at his percentage) , that may offset the lack of D.
Are you fans of the team or the player?

I've been surprised at how good at he is offensively. He was very average in college. He's what you call a really late bloomer.

Copeland's a nice find but he's expendable. If we can find good value for him, I say let's make the trade. This season, however, he's good insurance to have in case of injury. It's nice to see him so cool with the rookie "hazing" even though he's already 28. I'm guessing Prigioni's too old to have to go through that.

I think his best comparison is Lee Nailon

Copeland's lack of defense is exaggerated. He's not a defensive stopper, but he's a lot better than Steve Novak and Amar'e Stoudemire.

I think Brewer should be the starting SF if Stoudemire isn't going to be the starting PF. It hurt's the Knicks a bit offensively, but he send the right messages as a coach if you're rewarding the defensive player over the offensive player. It's hard to set a defensive tone when you're valuing offensive over defense as a coach.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...
